Updates for my first entry, haven't decided to focus on which one, yet. Smoothed the edges, changed the effects for the fonts from stroke to outter glow, it does give the text a different feel, thanks to Deathkillz. I also added a bit more clouds/colors on the right side to make it less boring.

Spoiler for Dawn/dusk/night variants with the same font, layout:

@KiNa: C.C's hair color is a bit raw, it doesn't match the background well. And I think the broken font isn't good either, the debris(?) makes it look like a low res raster image.
@saphyre: your characters' color is a bit off. And if I were you, I would flip the image horizontally, I like to put the main character in the most delicious place - the right side. And I like the airplane, plz don't remove it

@Cats: I think you can tweak the font and text color a little bit. The sunlight is weird in my opinion, I would replace the white light with dark shadow under the girl. But if you like the sun

, you could add a lens effect to make your banner more colorful and make the light rays less like white stripes.
@CXC: Kira and Lacus color is too dark for that background, I suggest you could play with the level/hue saturation a bit.

Nice font placement, but I think this one has the same problem as my abandoned Ayu one, the render is too big to reach out a "sky" effect, at least IMHO

Maybe if he adds a big cloud to the right side as well.
Though as-is, it looks sky enough to me.

~ CXC -- The text animesuki looks a little off. Maybe increase the angle lower the font size and increase the distance between letters to compensate. The word "forums" looks spot on.

kikyou banner ~ awesome!

for the font not standing out try making the colour white to see if it improves :3 if not you can always use a different font and bend it to shape

and it needs more clouds to the left and right ^.^

These three banners will be my final entries since I'm too lazy to go back and change anything or make anything else

. This will be my first time entering this comp so my banners probably won't be up to standards :P.

Same as my first submission. The image was too large, killing the theme of "Sky". You might wanna shrink the foreground a bit. Though I do think, the image size of your's is that perfect, not too large or small.
