episode 1:

Kirito logs in for the first time since the game has been made public , he meets Klein and shows him the basics,then when Klein tries to logout but can't they realize something is wrong,there's then this reunion where the creator tells them what's going on.

episode 2 (10 minutes of it):

1 month timeskip,Kirito's in a party that's going to try to beat the dungeon boss,there he meets Asuna and we see a fight with the boss (but we got a huge cliffhanger where we couldn't quite see the end of the fight)

I don't think the issue is there not being any. 52 seconds into the third pv, you've already got a clear indication of some.

From the scope of my reading, the concern is more about the importance of on-screen deaths. It would be impossible for them to make this anime without reference to the deaths anyways.

Minimizing the deaths on screen takes emphasis away from a frequent device of the novel. Many of the deaths written in are witnessed first hand. Kirito doesn't just hear about guys getting swept away by giant clubs (arbitrary example). He sees them get clobbered into shards of light. Watching death is a lot more powerful than simply referencing or hearing about it. Not that we saw the deaths in the novel anyways cause well, were reading it. Point being though....

There's going to be death. No way around that one. Kayaba just bluffing would kill this adaptation. How the deaths are witnessed and used is another story.

Spin off "First day" wasn't adapted, instead we go right away two months later to begin with the spin off Aria in starless sky ... which was literally overwritten, as such Kirito doesn't save Asuna but meets her in the reunion to kill the first boss, hence the part where she baths at his house etc isn't show. Argot the rat or who knows her name, the hate towards Beater simply don't even exist.

About the name spell, only "switch" is shout.

Nonetheless, my first impression after some reflection is, that there is real will to make SAO a kiddy show, death was simply never showed so far, in the boss fight against Kobold Chief, normally there are dead people, but there Kirito and Asuna simply wipe it out with double attack, nobody dies, everybody is happy, humans are great, they can cooperate each other while normally beta tester are literally hunted. Well in the first part at least.

So did Zakoo see something different than you?

The way Zakoo described it, that was the whole battle. They rewrote the battle in a way that excluded any deaths.

Keep in mind that the second episode in particular was an early cut of the content, and they explicitly said that it wasn't necessarily going to be done that way in the final version. So I think it's a bit pointless to get too worried/concerned that they're going to change the tone of the story based on a partly-finished episode that had clear disclaimers surrounding it.

Yeah that's why I had the impression it wasn't complete

Zakoo makes it sound like we saw the end of the battle and everyone cheering together,we didn't,the projection ended just before they were going to give the final blow,for all we know they'll later turn around and realize the number of casualties they had.
And to me it just felt in the way everything was edited that we saw an "overview" version of the battle rather than the full battle itself.

Kobold chief doesn't use a whirlwind skill killing the leader of the first group but instead change of weapon and begins to jump everywhere.

As such, maybe after that kirito and Asuna kick his ass maybe, though honestly I doubt it, he will use his secret skill with his 1 hp left.

About death, so far, Akihito states there is 271 people who died before his introduction because their family tried to take off the NerveGear and Kirito says in the beginning of episode 2 that in the period of one month 2000 people died.

Talking about death and showing death being two different things, I would have loved to see Diabel's face twited along a line "Impossibru" and to see him destroyed in countless polygons while the others are watching the scene, despair appearing on their face, yes I would have totally loved this.
And that's what I mean, if for example, just after the fight, they begin to realize "ohh we lost 5 people too bad", it will cut with the action, that truly would be bad. And ridiculous for me.

I don't know how you guys went to my "There's been no death showed so far" to "there won't be any death".

Precisly about the adaptations, they (the staff) said that it lacked of screen, action picture, movement, so maybe the fight won't be on 1 part but the whole episode 2. I don't think they stated there would be such scenaristic change, but if they can make beater hated I'm fine with everything.
