Spoiler:
And technically, any being capable of reproduction should be a Spiral Being. Having EXTREME Spiral Energy, is of course, a different story. In the current event of things, the only characters proven to possess that are Simon, Genome, Kittan and Boota. (( Maybe Kamina as well. ))

Lord Genome mentioned that it could be a case of sudden evolution or reaction with Simon's Spiral Energy.
And beastman can never have Spiral Energy. Case in point, even immortal!Viral doesn't have it. Unless of course, sudden evolution that goes beyond reproduction.

Boota appears to be an exception.
Unlike other mole-pigs, he's remained small and young despite the seven year span from the Battle of Tepperin to the Battle of Kamina City, and he's also displayed miraculous intelligence compared with the other animals in the story, comparable to a human or beastman at minimum. ... My theory: DNA and enzymes of any sort can be altered in shape by surroundings - we do this all the time when we denature meat by cooking it. As per what Nightengale said, it's possible exposure to someone of Simon's level of metaphysical power could have changed the shape of Boota's DNA, hence "evolving" him and giving him that power. Which would imply Boota, now on the spiral staircase, could climb higher and higher as time goes on. Hence the Beastman sub-commander, since according to Lord Genome the human shape is the optimal form of spiral energy. |

Wasn't it mentioned somewhere along the world-information of GL (( about underground Gunmen matches and all that )) that the rebels of the government are seemingly Simon's ex-enemies or something? Ah, here it is. Quote:

I think she's over Kamina, it has been 7 years, I can't understand what they were saying but it didn't seem mutual to me. |
