the model boat Rin makes...
Is the model boat Rin makes in Shuffle! ?
I'm thinking about buying the model boat and try building it, but i hear that that you really need a lot of skill in building the advanced model kits because your gonna be doing a lot of carving stuff, painting stuff, etc. It would be a fun project to do though. http://www.historicships.com/TALLSHI.../CuttySark.htm Last edited by Jonathan-san; 2005-12-19 at 14:13. |

YEP! Very nice model and if you haven't built one you don't realize how much work,
time and dedication they take too complete. I am very glad the writers decided to show us Rin building this model because it shows Rin builds. He didn't in laziness forget or quit building it. He didn't give up when Kaede destroyed it. He kept at it day after day until it was completed. Rin is winner because even though he may struggle with decisions, he eventually makes them and accepts the consequences. |

im pretty sure the model boat is the same size as the one Rin makes, but the damn thing costs about $200 - $300. You even have to read hella ship building boats just to even try to build the advanced boats due to the advanced models not having detailed instructions and having to buy hella tools like a plank bender, sanders, paint brushes, tweezers, etc. (SHIP MODELERS STARTER KIT costs $130). If i decided to try and build it, it would probably take me about a year or two or probably more because of school, work, and stuff.

I just noticed at the beginning and the end of each episode of Shuffle!, it shows a 3D diagram of Rins progress of the model boat hes building. (the part with the blue background with the Kadokawa and Lantis Sponsors on it with the 3D boat of Rins progress rotating around). Im guessing the last episode will show it complete with the sails on it.

In story... the ship is completed in 22... not by Rin... but by someone else I think this ship symobize the relationship between Rin and this certain someone coming in a full circle...
as for the CG... I think so too... it will probably set sail in the last ep.

well i know why he wants to complete it... but in anyways i can't spoil it.
he just made it, starting for episode 1, from scratch. and along the way, i think it symbolises the time that has passed in the anime, when the ship's finished, he would've already found the answer to his life. |
