So I agree with you that very likely they are going to leave it as an open harem. I mean, Yu isnt the classical lame harem MC who cant make up his mind which girl he likes the most and lacks the courage to get laid. Yu is strong and has selfesteem and knows what he wants.... yet he doesnt show much interest in girls, so it would really surprise me, if he suddenly fell for Yukiko. I mean, so far he has shown zero interest in her.

Hmm I wouldn't say that he has shown zero interest in the girls... he asked Chie to sit on his lap this latest episode

He has had moments with all three girls that show a little interest in them, even with Yukiko. Remember the time they slept next to eachother in the tent during their camping trip? And when they were alone while spying on Kenji? Hmmmmm ...
But like I said, he has had these types of moments with all three girls, so I don't think he's showing any real preference to Yukiko, but he has shown interest in the girls.

^I wouldn't say he asked Chie to sit on his leap. He was "drunk" and simply asked number 2 to sit on his leap, he didn't even know Chie was number 2. The anime staff just tried to develop Chie's SL a bit more and used the King's Game to develop her relationship with MC as well.
I have nothing against Chie, but out of the girls she's my least favorite and I just think her with MC doesn't go well. I think my favorite would be either Rise or

, yet I prefer Yukiko/MC. I think I'm strange though, since even in harems I don't necessarily prefer the MC to stay with my favorite female character.

^I don't know much about the King's Game, but in the actual game Yukiko and Rise made suggestions as to what MC, as the King should ask for the others to do. He was just following their suggestions, and each number had to do something for him. But he himself didn't know who was which number, so he didn't know Chie was number two. Nor did the player know.

Here's an interesting fact for some of you guys who may have forgot to notice, in the first round of the kings game, Teddie tried to kiss one of the girls but he picked the wrong number twice, Kanji was number 1 and Yosuke was number 2. Round two they shuffled the chop sticks and everyone had different numbers.

Sooooo yeah MC didn't pick number 2 because he knew it was Chie, he just hoped to god it was a girl and he didn't pick a boy.

Yeah, I've always thought Yukiko was more cannon of a romantic interest for the protag, since they get paired up most of the time in storyline advancement in addition to social link development.

Still, his female schoolmates are obviously practice girls to prepare him for the final secret boss.

Nah, no matter the media we're talking about, Yukiko is the least liked girl and people always say she is unimpressive and boring. Just like julez, I like her mainly because she is elegant and represents the "Yamato Nadeshiko" as far as looks are concerned, but outside that, yeah, she's kinda forgettable.

I thought the idea behind her character was breaking the Yamato Nadeshiko stereotype- by the time she's rescued, she is not who she appeared to be at the beginning. There was even that jerk in her S. Link who said he liked the quiet, stressed Yukiko better- not the real Yukiko.

I recently caught some scenes on Youtube where Ai Ebihara and the protagonist bump into one of the other girls with explosive results (I never got these scenes). Let's just say Yukiko comes out ahead.

^Well, that's what you get when you don't read the post properly. I stressed that I was talking about her outward appearance, like how she is so elegant with a kimono and stuff. In fact, I like this side about Yukiko, which many people seemingly want to deny.

She's not my favourite character of all time or anything, but out of the three girls in the show I like her best. I tend to like the introverted characters more since they're similar to myself.

Well, Yuu is the totally asexual MC though so instead of a harem end, there will probably be no high SL-rank events in the anime
