well like they said it all really comes down to whether or not a new OVA or series comes out
still I think that there are a lot of people here who still want to talk about FMP and rumors are one way of it keeping it current |

Then theyy should say it. There are still enough people here that want to discuss FMP. Why not a simple "We are retiring the FMP forum because there is no new Anime". At least that would be honest ... but still retarded. This is one of the best FMP communitys i know and the only reason i ever visit Animesuki. Just saying.

It's not in the least retarded. Only a small percentage ever does regular discussions, and with the lack of a unifying factor (mostly anime, but including English translations of the novels and comics), this retirement is frankly understandable.

No. But that is likely because all we see on the news anymore are American helmets and other militaries in dress uniforms on parade in squares.

Well, it depends. The current US helmet (Advanced Combat Helmet) is different from the helmet used for the Personnel Armor System for Ground Troops (used up to 2005). Probably the last 7 years of change led people to revert their views.

It is the flare in the back...the upper neck protection that makes it look more German inspired. The American design follows the curve down from the top of the head then goes down without flaring out. Only going out at the ears

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M1_Helmet I actually don't like the current Army helmets because they resemble the WWII German Wehrmacht helmets, haha! The old M1 "steel pot" is a much humbler, more American citizen soldier style. The new helmets, while no doubt being more practical, give off a sense of "warrior elite" that seems at odds with the spirit of a democratic republic, IMO. It's silly, I know, but that's how I feel, haha. |
