I think he's talking about Esdese...

I seriously doubt that he will be a decoy protagonist after 50 chapters of development, if it were still early then yes but its way too late for him to be a decoy.

Manga's that do monthly release and have these long chapters, usually only go up to around 60-80 chapters average in length.

I definitely agree. The black spots around the eyes and the pants-only get-up? Definitely Bors.

If he does return, he'll definitely not be the same. Notice the weird jewel thing in the middle of the tube-chick's chest. Seems like some sort of device that resurrects people (almost certainly in a sinister manner), possibly akin to Kurome's sword in that they're soulless slaves.

It's pretty evident, but I'm sensing a, "defeat the resurrected past characters!" battle of some sort soon.

"Too much for him" would only come into play IMO if he were self-aware after being resurrected. Again, I think (pretty sure anyways) he'll be returned as a zombie-like character with no memory or independence, so the sadness of realizing his family was also offed won't even occur.

In which case, I don't think it'd be so terrible for him to come back to life (so long as the above holds true). We won't be looking at Bors thinking, "Poor guy," well be looking at him as a perversion of life, a mindless puppet much like Kurome's minions.

I don't know about anyone else here, but her puppets have garnered no sympathy from me, really because they're not "them" anymore. They're just bodies now. That being said, with Ran now as a slave, people will look at him less and less (even the Jaegers!) as Ran.

I would not be surprised if Esdese was so happy that Tatsumi is back that she'll force an end to the fighting and... er... celebrate Tatsumi's return *lol*

What if Shura isn't targetting Tatsumi?

I mean if you think about:
It's now:
Shura,Dorothea,Izou,Suzuka,Budou and Esdese.
Or:
3 Wild Hunt.
Suzuka
2 Generals

The odds are so badly against Tatsumi that something must happen.
I'm seeing two possibilities.
Rabac wakes up and sacrifices himself.

this entire situation perhaps may be to take out Esdese by using her feelings for Tatsumi thus, this all may be a trap and Tatsumi may just be a tool against her.
I'm not saying she'll fall or die.
Suzuka is here, she wants to be tortured by her.
I'm thinking this will be Wild Hunts end at the hands of Esdese who will imprison Suzuka for aiding Shura leading to her dream coming true.

Well, we have already talked how excessively young Dorothea looks in physical appearance, despite she was claimed to have many years of experience behind.

Regardless of that, Tatsumi is in the most dire situation he has ever been before. Half the kingdom including Esdese knows about his identity and affiliation. Now our sadistic general will also have to make a choice and fast.

I wonder what Shura attempts to accomplish with this, but one thing is certain, he's far more competent than we thought at first.

and since Shura somewhat know the relationship of the two or their connection from his previous encounter with them
it must've been a ploy for his future plans...

there's a chance for her to actually save him and risk being labeld as an enemy
but if she is going to do it, doubt it's going to be in that crowd...
