FuRyu are doing a PS Vita game based on this series, titled Yuki Yuna wa Yusha de Aru: Memory of the Forest.

I'll never use Android/Iphone smartphone ever again.
Windows phone or Blackberry phone might be fine, but might not taking any chance for that apps.

But I'll definitely use only basic/feature phone or wifi only tablet for rest of my life.

That was the strongest start for a non-sequel anime show that I've seen all year.

Just tremendously endearing, entertaining, and fun.

Wonderful magical girl costumes, outstanding "magical battle area", and very fast and fluid action scenes.

I also love the internal dynamics of the Hero club, especially as they contain a nice range of distinct personalities. A bit surprisingly, Tougo is my favorite character so far. I say "surprisingly" since Yuna's "sparkling naturally heroic genki girl" character is the sort of anime character I typically go for (see my sig ). But Tougo's transformation from sweet but shy/scared girl to total awesomesauce was so compelling and impressively believable that I can't help but to like her most of all.

I agree with other viewers that this show will likely get a bit darker, largely out of simple necessity. As wonderfully entertaining as these first two episodes were, it will start to get old if it's just constant battling against MotWs (as impressive as these MotWs are in both design and difficulty). There will almost certainly be a change-up at some point - a considerable escalation, if not a shocking plot twist - And this will make things seem darker or at least more SRS BSNS.

But in any event, this is definitely a keeper for me, part of what has shaped up to be a remarkably deep/fantastic Fall 2014.

I enjoy this show so far. I can see some resemblance between this and Madoka/Nanoha. But I hope it can stand on its own as the series progresses.

Two things bothers me about Togo

her lost memory and the fact that she got 3 familiars instead of just 1

In Japan, a basic feature phone could also install applications that have these capabilities

What? that means as long I have my own cell phone, then there is no escaping it.
Even the home phone is inconvient for me.

That club president says it is her duty, but then that is just cruel.
The fact that these supernatural things are happening that ordinary people are unaware of.

But it is interesting to me though, smartphones has its roles in anime series.
I want more of that in other animes too.
And show the exact smartphone used in real life.
For example, in Daitoshokan no Hisujikai, Kakei actually uses HTC Windows Phone 7 but forgot its name and Tamamo uses Iphone 4s.

Unfortunately in Japan, there are no Windows Phone 8, Blackberry 10 and Amazon Fire Phone.

quite a number of anime feature actual phone, but most international phone doesn't sell in Japan and most Japan phone won't sell in other part of the world so recongising them would be hard. Like Kakei's phone is most probably au KDDI IS12T by Toshiba which is the only WP phone ever sold in Japan....

My impression in nutshell: Second of Coming of Madoka

Also, Credens Justitiam part 2:Humongous Sword

Great start and I have very high expectation for the rest of the show. It very reminiscent of Madoka (especially with Fuu and Yuuna) but it also its own thing in many ways. For instance, the supposed enemy didn't act like the typical monster of the week that come one by one stupidly but instead come in three at the same time, use teamwork to fight, and show new tactics/abilties. Seems the fighting are going to be get harder & harder with each battle and I hope it will be so, because that's great.

Is that the music type/school? I was reminded of traditional Japanese instead for some reason.

Regardless, I also like it. Low volume makes it a bit hard to listen but the also the subtle feeling is nice.

My favorite part of the Soundtrack is the transformation theme. It is this show's Credens Justitiam.

Love Fuu's buster sword. There's not many magical girl who use that kind of weapon to my knowledge. Hmm, no. Actually I think I love everyone's weapon sets. Itsuki Razor wire is cool. Yuna's hand-to-hand fighting is both awesome and fit her so much. Togo's doesn't to be said.

Pleasantly surprised by the first two episodes, totally wasn't what I was expecting.

By the way...

Takahiro, who is listed as providing the "Original Concept/Planning" for this show, is also the author of the Akame ga Kill! manga.

This is a minor point, but I am so glad the mascot creature characters they summon not only don't speak, but make no annoying sounds whatsoever. That was one of my main fears when I saw the promotional art.

Episode 3 will be the do or die for most of us. A formulaic monster of the week won't cut it for the rest of the series. It's too early for major drama via character death when you consider there are only 4 characters. Just the girl's in the hero club with no supporting characters whatsoever. I just hope this tells a complete story. Those are so rare.

Studio Gokumi is not the studio with the huge amount of budget. I hope they didn't use all thier budget in the first two eps. The third ep. should tell as a budget situation and the true direction of the story.

..........(re-quote)------

Something I noticed, after they destroyed the core of those monsters something seems to charge up on their flower signs (look at 20.25 and 20.52 on ep.2). However, they didn't show the charge-up after Tomo defeated the last monster. Look like the flower sign can only hold up to 5 charges (right now it's 2/5), let see what will happen when it's full.

I'm....surprised. Didn't have much interest in the show, and somehow it completely blew me away at how enjoyable it is with the first 2 episodes. This season really has too many hidden gems.
