Never the less you could still tell it's the same characters, on the other hand....

I noticed Boku characters are really like Oreimo and Index characters.. they're really generic.

More personality wise.

They just really remind me of characters you see in every anime.

That's flawed reasoning- Every Anime's character's personality is like every other Anime's character's personality.

It's what they do in the context of the story that counts, OreImo and Index and now this show has some very interesting interactions between characters.

Spoiler for kinda spoiler:

so yeah characters are quite generic, but the things they do, and the way those characters interact is quite original.

Actually, I stand corrected about what I've earlier said- To me, whether or not a character is generic is simply a matter of how much will people remember them for years to come.

I can tell you now, nobody's going to forget about Index, Kirino, Mikoto, KuroNeko, Touma, Accelerator and.... Maybe Kyousuke (Despite his generic name) for a very long time.

I'm certain Yozora and Sena won't be forgotten for years to come as well.

The character alone don't make the show. You want to watch how they are interacting with each others, and that's when their personality/traits play out.

And to this day and age, I don't think you can go any more original than that. Put out any personality, and I could tell you one character that already possessed those one.

BokuTomo's characters are generic? LOL, whoever thinks that needs to branch out. I've seen some really, REALLY generic characters so generic they drive you crazy and Bokutomo's are nowhere near them.

You realize that is somewhat intentional, right?

how are the characters generic? can you elaborate? as Duo_Maxwell has said, any character is similar to any other character in some ways or other; I can also say Oreimo characters are generic.

but really Haganai and Oreimo characters are hardly very similar, hardly. A chuunibyou imouto, an all-capable, well endowed, eroge fanatic, a tsun girl who speaks obscenely every few seconds, and who does the perverted scientist, delinquent guy, idiotic nun, and feminine trap reminds me of from Oreimo? Can't think of any. Admittedly, I thought of Kuroneko when I read Kobato's lines, but other than that, nothing else jolted my memory on Oreimo chara in my reading.

Someone should rewrite the whole Oreimo and make Kobato the sister.

You know, about 8 years ago we had this OVA called Mizuiro 2003 (year number to separate itself from the hentai), I tell you back then that was the prettiest thing I have ever seen, and this series can go right up there

And I make my grand entrance in this thread. I see some familiar, chaotic-illusion shattering faces here I shall order some meat and a little bunny on the side XD

Kobato as your sister, and Sena as your waifu. It's like the best combo I could wish for.

The beach! One of the best things about Anime, is that the beach is all year around awhoooooo

If they do not have Kobato participate in beach activities, a thousand international crimes will be committed
