Well that is just sad. It's like how the Bradley Armored Fighting Vehicle was visioned as the 3 in 1 vehicle but as the this line from The Pentagon Wars, an HBO film about the Bradley's devepolment, explains: Quote:

The M242 is able to HEAP rounds into occupied buildings down long and narrow streets (pun unintended) while the troops flank the alleyways into it. And the TOW launchers proved to be quite deadly against tanks where the enemy are still busy hand-cranking their turrets while the Bradleys move in for the kill. Sizing down the vehicles made the squads smaller, but in turn it made them a more mobile fighting unit with more flexibility. Sort of like a blessing in disguise.

"Mind-Melded" Animal Brains Work Better Than Individual Ones:
"Connecting brains together into networks, or ‘mind-melding’ as the Trekkies say, has a long and colorful history in science fiction. But it’s also something that scientists are doing—rather successfully—with animals in the lab. And in many cases, networked animal brains seem to perform better than individual brains." Not sure if this should go here, but Firefox users should consider disabling Adobe Flash in their browsers for the meantime.

P.S. Why are you only warning Firefox users? Users of other browsers can also disable Flash in their browsers. |

My Chrome can work without Flash for some reason so I assumed that Chrome users never bothered to install Flash. But yeah, the news should cover just about anyone who uses Flash, including those in mobiles.

The Future Will Run on Algae
This somehow reminds me of OILIX from Metal Gear 2, an algae formula that could produce oil, which the creator of the formula was kidnapped by Big Boss to Zanzibarland.

Eyeglasses with Face Un-Recognition Function to Debut
in Japan: "The ultimate disguise for the digital era is set to go on sale in Japan. The National Institute of Informatics said it has developed eyeglasses that help users protect their privacy by disabling facial-recognition systems in cameras. The Privacy Visor, created by the government-affiliated institute and an eyeglass maker in Japan’s Fukui prefecture, uses unique angles and patterns on its lens that reflect or absorb light. This prevents the recognition systems in digital cameras and smartphones from spotting a human face in a shot and focusing on it." See: http://blogs.wsj.com/japanrealtime/2...ebut-in-japan/ |

The Very First Wormhole Device — For Magnets!:
"Physicists have created a wormhole device that can tunnel a magnetic field through space. It sounds like Star Trek, but we won’t be zapping humans across the universe anytime soon. Still, the breakthrough could revolutionize certain magnet-based technologies, including MRIs." See: http://gizmodo.com/scientists-build-...r-m-1725738273 |
