So the trilogy is being remastered for PS4 and PC this year. They already confirmed dual audio and a new design for Haseo.

Meh, Hack//GU was my favorite hack game, i favor it over Hack but why must GU again?
I think if them aiming for reboot then original hack is best choice to altho i prefer them releasing new Hack game than reboot.

It really just doesnt aged well and current demographic most likely won't like the slow tempo gameplay (it's less action game and more about micro-managing skills).. so it needs major overhaul if the target is to get more players to like the franchise. It's really not a good idea especially after the mobage failure so they probably don't have that big enough budget to begin with.

Also the original isn't forgotten; there's a new WN from Kite's perspective which also includes more world building inside like Pluto Kiss stuffs and America

The original has aged even worse than GU. I still adore its story, but the combat and dungeon design makes it unplayable at this point.

Forget a remaster - they would have to remake the game from the ground up.

.hack//G.U. Last Recode was just unlocked on Steam!
If there weren't that many games released around time of year I would have jump for it. But I am overwhelmed at the moment with all these game releases.
