Recap/Review. And so another brave warrior falls. I have to admit there was something refreshing about watching two ancient Greek heroes duke it out with their fists. Back to basics and all.
Chiron really grew on me as a character. He was polite, friendly but with a sense of duty. A teacher and a warrior, he fulfilled both obligations in the end by having one of his students surpass him and then crippled him for the other.

Chiron and Achilles' fight was really awesome. The animation was also pretty decent for once too. And it looks like Achilles is so hax it will require taking two noble phantasms away from him (his immortality and what he's about to give to Astolfo) so that the Black faction can have a chance at beating him. Still wondering who's going to stop Karna though, I don't think Sieg is up to the task.
Mordred knows how to make an entrance as usual. Still rooting for her and her master.

Goodbye Chiron. He was one of my favorite servants in this series due to his demeanor along with being one of the few servants in the Black faction that actually had a good relationship with his master. At least he managed to go out in a style while weakening Achilles.
Hoping that Jeanne smacks or someone else smacks some sense into Atalanta.

Then again, Mordred has a history of getting shanked only to strike from the grave, so that could be a way to take them both off the field to clear it up for Jeanne and Seig vs Shirou.

Say what you will about the often dubious quality of animation this show gets, that has to be one of the best animated fights ever in any Fate series.
And now that they're down one hero and Astolfo critically injured, it's about time that at least 1 red hero bites the dust as well. Atlanta most likely.

Well, well... People were afraid of BEST GIRL Astolfo was going to die. Nope, still alive before Semiramis could kill her until Mordred & Kairi crashed their MiG-21 LanceR in a nick of time. Achilles then came to offer him/her something afterwards.
Before that, Chiron vs Achilles fistfight part the most memorable one in this episode, with Chiron died in style just before he could cripple Achilles' heel (ironically) with his "satellite" star strike NP (what a cheater). Reminds me of Solid vs Liquid fistfight in MGS4 fighting on the sub, while this one is fighting on the airplane inside Achilles' Reality Marble. Still felt sorry for Atalanta... She really sank that deep with her "muh children" grievance. Hey, don't mind other people brand her a pedophile, though. |
