I think for many people because it was their first Gundam, and it was thanks to Wing that I started to get into Gundam. Though looking back it wasn't good as I remembered still I liked it. It had many cool characters like Duo, Treize, Zechs, and Heero, it also had many good looking ms such as Deathscythe Hell Custom, Wing Zero Custom, Talleeges, and Epyon. And EW was pretty good even looking at right now. And Painnator I did watch all the UC series and I like Wing for what it is, I could understand why you don't like it.

Actually, I did not like Gundam Wing at all. Gundam Wing was not my first Gundam, and previously, I had enjoyed the UC OVAs.
In fact, I could almost say that Wing Zero killed it for me. As soon as a Gundam with wings that spewed feathers, I was done. The Zero became something that belonged to more Escaflowne than Gundam. Likewise, I never enjoyed G Gundam. But thats just my small bias. - Tak (And with so much alpha-male jokes goin' around with Wing, its difficult, at least for me, to like it) |

Because Gundam Wing have Ramboism. Fighting for peace without really logical reason, white Kira là Arthun in Gundam Seed they only fight for peace after have many pain when lost their friends.
BTW, G Gudam is a suck thing have word "Gundam".

I think it's because for a lot of people, Gundam Wing was the first Gundam for them, as it was the first Gundam series aired on US TV. Thus people have a big attachment to it because it introduced them to Gundam.

Seed was my introduction to gundam. Afterwards I watched the entire UC and Turn A before turning onto Wing. It ended up being my least favorite gundam series. However that is not say the show wasn't entertaining. The fact that Wing didn't have a single sane character was actually one of its more charming aspects.

This is truly the reason. I laugh when anyone suggests that one of those kid pilots was really the driving force behind the series, it was all Treize. And, consequently, Treize is really the only human character in the show, everyone else is just a tool to be used in his schemes.

Yeah, I Wing was the introduction, and as long as it stays that way, then it is all good. Wing Zero was mint. But it was lacking in many an area. I can still watch it, but SEED and SEED Destiny are way better. i still have to go back and watch some of the older ones, but the animation is hard to watch on the original.

I remember watching Gundam Wing some years back on Cartoon Network when I was obsessed with Dragonball Z at the time. From what I remember I liked it but I don't remember much from it. I don't think I actually payed much attentioned to it either. Planning to rewatch the series, both for nostalgic reasons as well as interest.
