Hmm, I don't see anything wrong with an all-female cast as long as the premise interests me. At least they used to add a guy or two in the cast, even if they weren't the best possible. Nowadays all-female casts are all about singing idol careers or "cute girls doing everyday stuff".

It's hard for me to see her as anything except lesbian, or at least bi-sexual.

Did somebody say yuri? Because I think I just heard somebody say yuri.
Yuri baiting is a fantastic way to get me to watch an anime and enjoy it while at the same pissing me off to no end because there's usually no outright confession. And I'm not talking about using it for comedic purposes either...

I seen a lot of "breast groper" in anime that aren't lesbians... It's a form of communication, same as "hitting one's ass." Spoiler for Love Live Character Analysis:
Yeah, specially if it wasn't said in the classification.. In none yuri anime, this is the purpose of those yuri undertones.... Last edited by NoemiChan; 2013-03-12 at 17:44. |

Depends on the imagination of the viewers. As long that it's not mark yuri, it isn't yuri.. slight is pretty acceptable but again it's just fan service with no actual proof, same goes in Amagami and Clannad .....unlike in Vivid Red... it's rampant...
Peace keep the girls pure! Last edited by NoemiChan; 2013-03-12 at 20:37. |

I'll specify this even more from my last post: Canonical romance and romance anime are not mutually inclusive. It doesn't take a yuri series to have a canonical yuri couple. Marketing strategy or not it's incredibly annoying.

"Hate" is probably too strong a word for it, but there seems to be a new trend in anime that I'm starting to dislike.
The way I'd describe it is "Teasing in all directions". In other words, you have an all-girls cast, and they lightly tease yuri affection/subtext in all directions. Now, I'll usually take this over nothing at all, but I find it much less satisfying than the Saki approach where they heavily tease at specific pairs of girls. For all the yuri teasing in Love Live!, I have little idea who to ship there. It's just chaotic, and all over the place. VRO is almost on the same level, though probably a little bit closer to that Saki model I prefer.
