So if Yuzuka (theoretically) was with the IRG instead of IJA,,,would that put her in a Type-00A of Type-00F? I'm not sure how families in Zaibatsu (Which are--technically samurai descent?) would equate in ML's Japanese hierarchy.

Not really.

It would actually depend on how traditional the noble hierarchy actually is, but if her family was a samurai one like the Takamuras, chances are that they would not be in business.

You see, Shogunate-wise, merchants were really looked down upon; they traditionally rank beneath peasants in Japanese hierarchy (because peasants actually work for their stuff, while merchants simply take other people's things, and work with them), and real nobles/samurai were not expect to "work" in the way as we understand it. Of course, that didn't stop merchants from becoming absurdly rich, because their money economy was superior to the rice koku system that nobility/samurai class used.

Of course, there might be a chance that Sendou family were some kind of advisers/elders under the Shogunate, and got assigned the company as a some kind of reward or something.

Either way, I'd expect her to pilot a 00C if she was an IRG, unless her family has connections to any major clans/Imperial family, in which case she'd be in the Blue Awesomeness Zone

Also, nice to see that the hatchet was used, at leas once.

Damn the awesome if she'd be in the Blue Awesomeness Zone. But she isn't in the family, so I guess yellow or red at most? Or simply red at most.

Thing is, part of the reason the Blue Awesomes are awesome is because of their TSF. And as Yuuya showed, if you're skilled enough, you can beat a Takemi.

...well, so long as Mana isn't piloting the Takemi.

Yuuya would never have beat the Takemi if Yui was fighting for real at that time with his level of skill. Yui could never go full force against Yuuya in any of the fights against him.

Also, on Yuzuka, why would she be allowed to be in the IRG? She's a Commercial Princess, not a Princess Princess. She would be piloting the Shiranui's in any case, since thats what Daddy makes. A customized Shiranui Second Phase 3 would make more sense for her.

And I won't be surprise if she pilot a something crazy like Mig-25.

Out of curiosity, does the VN (or future LN I suppose), actually give us more of Yui actually piloting? Because all things considered, while she *is* a capable pilot, I wouldn't really call her an Ace. She still makes mistakes (like letting those two Lastochkas effectively gang-rape her if not for Infinities showing up). Then again, Yui doesn't really fight a lot outside of flashback sessions and Terrorist Arc, does she?

That was a hypothetical scenario. Although, I don't think that the Guard expressively forbids the plebes from joining, or being drafted (a la Takeru in TDA), if they're good enough.

I think I spotted a number of sprite mistakes in TDA 03. The Salamander Squad was first shown with Kagerous and then later with A-6 Intruders(Wadatsumi) as reported to Black Knives. I am not sure whether it is a mixed team or not. There was later a brief scene recycled from Alternative with UN blue Shiranuis emerging from a tanker carrier.
