Ummm, Apollo is not that well liked in fandom(Dual Destinies redeemed him) but let's wait and see, AA3 cases were pretty long so that might help a 1 cour series

Get Suwabe for Godot.

Give Archer a beard and a suit and a visor and voila! You got someone who is pretty similar to Godot. The remaining differences are something that the VA can much more easily bridge than other VAs would.

He voiced Godot in CD drama, which used game cast, so most likely he is out of question. None of the voice actors reprised their roles for the anime.

Someone I know noted that the first season was announced after AA6, so perhaps a new AA will be announced at the TGS. Though, I wonder what would they do after AA6 if it's the case.

And we're back in the courtroom! Episode 1 is up.

Somehow, it felt like the show never left at all. Immediately, I got the feeling of Ace Attorney with a case taking place already from the episode. It did not take long for Ryuuichi to undertake the case and uses his knowledge to piece the clues together.

His opponent in court looked like a fool lol. Nothing but truth~

The theme songs are okay (I personally still like the first season's better)

They covered the first case that they skipped in the first season. Probably because it involves a character we're going to see again soon, so I wouldn't expect this to mean they're going to adapt Rise from the Ashes yet.

The animation is a little better. There's fewer of those awkward shots attempting to mimic the game. Naruhodo even walks around the courtroom a bit this time, that would have broken the budget in season 1. Of course this is just the first episode of the season, but hopefully they can keep up this quality.

The sound is a bit improved as well as the music stays consistent, but the sound director still managed to throw in an obnoxious cartoon noise for some reason. At least it was only for a few seconds.

I think it was a pretty good first episode, even though the temporary amnesia was clearly one of those forced tutorial plot devices that "naturally" allows the game to give an introduction to the player.

But the OP and ED really do not move. The OP doesn't really show that many characters either.
