You are quite eagle-eyed. It's the slightly modifed version of the color illustration on FLAG 66 that was included in Kaminomi vol. 9, which is a shoutout to the cover of Summer Wars light novel. However, now that I look at it in comparison, I have reasons to believe that it's actually the opposite: The illustration on the magazine was the altered version of the original, as shown in volume nine.

on that gallery. The number on the frame. Does that mean the ranking of the manga? because I just can't believe the ranking on my favorite manga to be that low.

No. Major, Hayate no Gotoku, Kekkaishi, Kenichi, ZKC, and Defense Devil should be up there in the top 10 if it was.

Also... still no leaks of the TWGOK PV, and the spoiler for latest chapter doesn't seem to mention anything about the anime. Well, I'll have to wait and see if there's anything else on the back of the magazine.

Defense Devil doesn't rank that high in the TOC for Sunday... seems to be in the bottom ten titles all the time.. here's the issue's TOC for the latest issue with a Kekkaishi cover.

It's Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai, BTW... "Nomi" is the "only" in the title. Written "no mizo", it means "The World God's Gutters Know"...

The light brown his eyes should be often looks red in some pictures.

Also, I don't know of which picture you speak, but there's the possibility that it's one of his fairly common overdramatic "potato chip moments" (think Death Note), in which case red eyes could be a legitimate artistic license.

Just saw the first episode of Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi, and Kanae Itou plays Ringo (Red Riding Hood).

I think we can set aside all doubt that she will be a wonderful Elsee. ^_^

For Jump and Sunday it definitely is sorted, not so much for Magazine. You can look @ the Otaku Shoten forum on mangahelpers for the respective threads of those mags to see the TOCs posted each week. Defense Devil was third from last in the latest issue.. and the mag below it is finishing...

Really? That's her? Completely missed the connection in her voice. On an off-hand guess, I thought it was the chibi-teacher from To Aru's voice, considering they share an almost identical appearence (with some colour variations) from my point of view.
But if so, brilliant. That voice will do Elsee justice.

I've yet to see Hiro Shimono in anything where his role is similar to Keima (Kannagi is closest), but he's currently playing the teacher (Yabe-cchi) in Mitsudomoe, which I can highly recommend... ^_^

I'd say Akihisa (Baka Test) and Hiro (ef - a tale of memories) are pretty close.

Well i'd say Akihisa would be the closest in terms of similarity to Keima (both are hardcore galge gamers lol). Hiro iirc was just a mangaka in ef, and i don't remember any scene showing him playing galge in ef series...

But lol no to Akihisa's voice for Keima...that sounds so gay to me

Ah buggers, I always thought Jun would be the best pick for Keima, everytime I read the manga I can just hear keima speak in Jun's voice.

A bit dissapointed

However, still interested what the new VA will bring!

I'm not comparing characters, i'm comparing his voice work for those characters, and how it would work for Keima.

So the site finally open....still new i guess, not much info i could see from it. And the PV, design and animation wise, all i can say is "as expected from Manglobe...".

But really, the real thing that people wanted to know is KEIMA'S VOICE KEIMA'S VOICE argh...with that kind of PV how are people supposed to know whether Hiro Shimono fits the role or not.

But judging from the current development on the main site, i can safely assume the anime will be aired on Winter. But who knows if by any chance they suddenly do mass updates on the site in a day, and scheduling it to air on Fall instead, that would be even better
