This is why I and my brother almost killed each other--other than sharing the same room, we shared the smae computer. And it was a war over disk space: Colin McRae Rally VS Ghost Recon. I don't want a wife who likes what I like, I want one who can tolerate what I like (and me tolerate her likes) so that I don't feel like I'm living with my own clone.

I am working on manga project which is an alternative Strike Witches story.
The idea about making such project is old. I've done first script pages in 2008 and right now I have the main storyline finished and 2 short OVA-like stories in progress. The main project is called: Spoiler for Strike Witches: Project Raven Shield:
and I can only tell that there is a lot messing in time and there is also second war with Neuroi in 80's. First OVA project will include 6 chapters and the main character will be Gertrud Barkhorn and first main character from Raven Shield. The second one is in early 90's and it's telling about new "witches" who are a bunch of kids trying to reactivate the squadron as airshow group "NEW WITCHES" and the title is "Strike Witches: Revolution". I just thaught that its a good time to share some informations about this project since I really want to publish it as an fan internet manga. I've already have got concept arts and I am starting slowly witch the scetches of the first pages. Hope that I awake your interest Last edited by Ruhisu; 2009-08-13 at 16:09. |

the only real minus of living with someone who is very much like you is that it means less diversity..
most people don't try new stuff by themselves, so meeting other people who are different from them is one of the best ways of finding things which you may like and wouldn't try out otherwise :P all in all it really depends on what kind of personality you have to decide who this will work with another copy of you.. if you are really stubborn and aren't willing to compromise then it might not be a good idea to live with someone like you as that would just explode at some point... but if both parties are well balanced then it can be just fine.. |

I got Tiger in Desert Part 2 while I was at Comiket... and damn, it was good.
Spoiler:
Unfortunately, no official English translation again, so I suppose someone'll have to get started... <_<; Also got Sengoku Witches, but haven't had time to go over that properly yet.

... I mediately went on a google spree and now I'm torn between amusement and disappointment that I can't find any scans of Tiger in Dessert 2, but I could find scans of some random cliche hentai doujin released on the same con. -_-
Could you give me the kanji of the title? That might help with searching. |

Nobody has scanned it yet, but here's the kanji 砂漠の虎 後編. Both Witch in Africa and Tiger in Desert vol.1 took some time before they got scanned (as in over a month for the former), while the random hdoujinshi get scanned immediately... <_<;.
(Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the random H-doujinshi aren't actually scanned, but just uploaded by the circle after Comiket. For a small unknown circle, that'd be a quick and easy advertisement. And heck, maybe they just want people to, er... enjoy, their work.)

Pics of the SW stuff I got while I was in Japan. I would've gotten more, but I never managed to reach the main male sections on all three days of Comiket. For some reason, I was assigned to the yaoi-ridden West Halls within my group... Then again, there was also the issue of having no more space in my luggage. Spoiler for Tiger in Desert 2:
I also got a 501JFW velcro badge thing, which I forgot to include with the SW junk. It's in another pic in the folder, along with some SW card game pics and other assorted junk (might be NSFW).

Besides Tomoko( and maybe Haruka), Beurling definitely gets the most fanart. Rudel probably gets the most for a supporting character. I rather like Elma, but she's far from being popular.

I feel if there was an anime based on the original novels, they'd increase Ursula's role, since she provides a link with the previous TV anime as Erica's sister.
Also, I got Patrick Galbraith's new "Otaku Encyclopedia" book printed by Kodansha, and noticed that in the "Essential Anime to Watch" section in the back, Strike Witches is on the "Moe Shows" part. Shout-out. And unlike some people ITT who put down the TV anime so much in comparison to the novels, I thought it was a rather excellent production on multiple levels... |
