Holy...
It was November last year I made that prediction about Chizuru's present and the birthday arc is still not over. ![]() So anyways, here comes the moment Kazuya will be rewarded again just because. The usual, annoying patterns and setup happened. It's incredible he got no present considering all the planning and simping unlike with other girls. I don't accept his broken state as an excuse even though I suggested the possibility of playing that pity aspect out. |

Still far away from the meme getting animated.
The thing I laughed about however is Mami being present on the key visual. I sincerely doubt this is a 2-cour season from nowhere, therefore she won't appear in the season. Unless anime original content. |

What a beautiful day this is.
Weekly Shounen Magazine held a heroine poll and despite me thinking how that utter pile of dirt Chizuru will win that with ease, she came in just 3rd place. Asahi won from Amagami-san, Yuna is 2nd from Amagami-san, then comes Chizuru. Ruka is Top 7. Though frankly, Sachi from Kakkou and Ouka from Megami no Café Terrace being in Top 7 are also insults to me, because both of them are trash. Seems like underage girls, imoutos, annoying (fake) opposition girls are still the trend. Yae, arguably the best Amagami girl is not in Top 7. *Sigh* Onee-sans get no love. |

Mizuhara and Ruka being near the top of a poll that isn't "manga heroines I wouldn't date if my life depends on it" is still pretty bad, though.
Regarding the anime, of course I never watched it, I don't need more Kanojo okarishimasu in my life. Actually, it's been a while since I stopped reading the manga since nothing of interest was happening. I might go back to it if and when the author give us some real development, but chances are that I'll just read the final chapter to see the ending.

I think the Paradise arc will happen in animated format, not because this trash deserves four seasons or more, but because as much as it handled all of its cards disappointingly, that arc is the big culmination of the story. It's easier to make that the animated conclusion than ignoring that Mami disappeared for a whole season even though she started planning something. I certainly wouldn't cry if Season 3 is the last animated season though.
Since Season 3 comes out earlier than expected and there is a director change as well, maybe the actual plan is making seasons as fast as they can to reach the Paradise arc. Post-Paradise stuff should not happen at all costs though. But if the Paradise arc will be adapted, they may as well go for the full adaptation if the remaining material is not that much. But so far this trash will go on for another 1.5-2 years or more. |

This current birthday arc or whatever is boring me to tears, though it was nice to see Sumi. I could maybe see something happening now that the anime has an airdate but... probably not. |

I don't think they are that hard to find, but they generally lose in polls to arguably more annoying people in their respective series. It's incredible in the wrong way.
Ruka has a good design, though it's subjective. What's admirable here is that she has like 5-8 pages of total appearance ever since Paradise ended. Not a single chapter centered on her. Dedicated fans are dedicated. Somehow I'm under the impression that the Japanese readers don't really ship Kazuya and Chizuru, but I can't prove it. Sachi out of all girls in Kakkou to be the most popular. Big yikes. I'm not invested in Seo's manga, but I know that it's different than most of his previous works. The thing is though, Ouka is the typical, annoying Seo main heroine, who as far as I know didn't even win a poll in her own manga yet. And supposedly Seo will decide the winner there with polls, that's why there will be multiple and already were multiple. Her getting a good showing here is probably due to the annoying character privilege. Back to Kanojo, Okarishimasu... Yup, Kazuya got rewarded again. If you look carefully, his tongue became an anteater tongue and went deeply inside Chizuru's ass. Fucking "doing anything for you" tickets. He already does anything for her, but now she has a guaranteed slavery card and he can't oppose it. |

Whoa! Chapter 272 is a nice culmination of what's usually wrong with this manga.
Title is The Girlfriend and Progress. Yup, Progress. This has to be 100% intentional trolling. Inner Kazuya thought about how Chizuru is the perfect beauty with no flaws. Kazuya also knows he is a weak excuse for a man, but continues to act like an infant with mental disorder instead of taking small, but necessary steps to change. Still can't compose himself whether he is near Chizuru or completely alone. Overreacts the most insignificant things like the food stain on his shirt. Faps in a private DVD viewing room to calm himself down, but continues rolling on the floor in his boxers, still agonizing over his chances. Yaemori the local plot device strikes again. Ever since Paradise ended, this will be the 3rd or depending on your view, 4th time she as the self-proclaimed wingwoman mediates between the two, because they are incapable of getting together in their own. If someone told me she will have more screentime than Mami, Ruka, Sumi combined in a 40 chapters batch, I would have called the person insane, but here we are. Usual pattern will happen where Kazuya is depressed, but going to get yet another positive reaction from Chizuru after Yaemori softens her up. Finally, the very best: Pacing-sama. About 1 week passed ever since Kazuya moved in, so 1 week passed in the last roughly 20 chapters. If the pacing doesn't pick up, forget the manga, the arc would only end around Chapter 330 and there is a chance Chizuru will offer him to stay longer, maybe even using his idiotic ticket for it. |

There are issues with Kazuya's situation, notably that he kept the moving in a secret from everyone for no reason whatsoever. That should blow in his face. But if you want an outside reason why he could move out, in real life the look of their apartment got changed and some people think the earthquake was an excuse to go with its updated look in the future. I feel this is beyond the author's capabilities.
The subreddit posts are mostly positive. It's actually scary and damn, they are still at how Kazuya is relatable to them. And now that I see it, there is even a Serious Discussion chapter post where memes and short replies are not allowed. The cooking blog and war journal are better. Infinitely. |

No progress but lots of Chizuru tiddies and more of Reiji's weirdly drawn asses. I'm not really fond of Mini's rationale though that persistence somehow makes Kaz "real" or that attractive people (other than Chizuru) suck. The average Kanokari reader and/or Kazuya self insert will eat it up though I guess.

That speech was terrible and made no sense.
So Yaemori will support Kazuya till the end even if Kazuya x Chizuru won't work out, because he is "real". A pussy through and through aiming for someone out of his league, but when he talks about his love towards Chizuru, his love outshines his fear and that's nothing short of brilliant, she says. *Sigh* He is obsessed with Chizuru, his obsession is the only thing about him that she can highlight and somehow that's a positive thing, so he is worth supporting and they would be a fun couple, teehee. |

承認欲求 is a real thing and there are people who post pictures on the internet for attention. There's also an argument to be made about perseverance, because if you're just looking for a match then you won't last long anyway when life happens, people change, and the person you started dating is inevitably not the same person they used to be. That's not to say that Kazuya fits that bill, because he doesn't. The point is that if you're out of someone's league, then you work on yourself and grow as a person. All Kazuya does is constantly be self-conscious about what Chizuru thinks about him. Had he committed to being a film producer and becoming more responsible out of it, then yeah Mini would've been right that Kazuya had something there. But nope, he just behaves like the self-conscious otaku that he's always been. |

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something though and there is something to be said for bringing your best self to a relationship which... we're definitely not getting that from Kaz either. Grand scheme its just kind of impossible to want these two to get together after chapters like this. Mini is sitting there telling her to "give it a shot!" which is just... am I actually supposed to be rooting for this ship? I appreciate titties though. |
