How can each subsequent chapter be worse than the previous though? I know a fair amount of memes regarding how a Kanojo, Okarishimasu chapter is usually, but I'm seriously sick and tired of this particular pattern of Kazuya agonizing over the smallest things and thinking he lost Chizuru points (usually 12-15 pages each chapter), but of course, comes the full page or two pages of Chizuru giving him a positive feedback, which he didn't earn at all. Kazuya is shitting his pants for every action he does, but it's consideration in someone else's home and Chizuru loves that. Get the fuck out of here!

Prediction time: He is going to be rewarded for her birthday present as well. It doesn't matter if Sumi does the carrying. Either his pity, broke aspect comes into play, where he almost cries for how he can't buy Chizuru a worthy present, but of course, Chizuru will love people who are thinking hardly about what to buy for others. Or he buys something shit, agonizes over that as well, but comes the obligatory positive feedback that Chizuru loves his present.

Wow, what a fantastic person Chizuru is, because she can hang out laundry to dry. She is even more amazing when it comes to animals, as having a cat friend means she is automatically kind to every single animal on the planet.

I was about to hard disagree, because any chapter that doesn't involve Chizuru is among the better ones, but who am I kidding with this author?! He just had to shove Chizuru in the chapter last minute and even gave her the usual double pages, depicting nothing of importance yet again.

Not only is Mami robbed from a true individual chapter, she is robbed from at least a 2-parter as well, with her "not individual chapter" being shit, uninspiring like most chapters from this manga. Though I can't help, but laugh about Kazuya calling out the interaction between them being dead as if that's not the norm with Chizuru. Or perhaps those stuttering one liners are part of a super intimate conversation with Chizuru in his mind. Hey, Mami and Chizuru are kind of similar.

Because the core problem isn't the girls themselves; it's in how Miyajima essentially designed Kazuya to act like an otaku.

Of course the interactions are all dead, because Miyajima makes Kazuya treat the girls as beautiful idols out of their league to be worshipped or villains to be villified.
None of his relationships with the girls were ever on equal footing.

Notice how most of his thoughts are overthinking about how he doesn't get what the girls are thinking, how he gets self conscious about what to do, or how pretty and nice and great the girls are?
All of them are egocentric. There's never a point where Kazuya or Miyajima think about treating the girls like humans who can be talked to.
