She seems to be out of it. Her eyes are completely vacant. So, she's either under somebody's control or just unconscious/dreaming. I really hope it's not the former.

I think that's the bonus illustration of which there is one every volume, so it's not exactly part of the events of the vol. And as Ivaannom already said; the tweet sort of says that she's dreaming about her prince.

Its due to the fact Satsuki has only ever worn her hair down once so far in the series (Volume 8 ending illustration). So this is the first time in 15 volumes we've seen her this way and in color.

The twitter responses are interesting as everyone is confusing her for some new character when its just plain old satsuki sporting a different look from her usual pony tail hairstyle.

Makes sense, it suits her very well, I have to say.

It's so obvious it's her, too. I don't know why people can't tell.

@nekodamashii: I wonder who her prince is, though. There'll be problems with her memories if it's Rio, wouldn't it?

Bro, there will be a murder in Japan if her prince is not Rio, I believe the JP fans are capable of at least that much. On a serious note tho, it's not like they lost the memories, they just can't access them, so even if Satsuki in a bonus art has a faint dream about Rio, I'd say it's no big deal.

Guys. Could it you didn't realize yet that Satsuki's image is from melonbooks bonus bookcover? The ones with the SS that happen in a fictional Japan where there wasn't hero summonning and Haruto goes to school with Miharu, Satsuki, Rikka, Christina, Flora and Aisia and Celia are their teachers.

I thought they were non cannon, but iirc Christina's bonus art from last vol wasn't from that alternate earth bonus stories (I probably recall wrong), which made me confused about them, but hey; art, beautiful, I, complain, not; is about all I think about them, also, that the name bonus art says it all.

All of melonbooks bonus illustrations have been from that alternative Japan since volume 5, Christina's in the last book too. It was a story about Flora begging Christina to partipate in a play of Aladdin for her to be surprised at how daring her costume was. Right now Celia and Miharu are the only ones who weren't fairy tale themed yet and the only famous classic stories still unused are Snowwhite and The beauty and the beast.

Thanks for the preview.

Miharu's wrong decision likely has something to do with Rio; she can't make that connection because she can't remember him.

About those alternate Japan stories. It's safe to assume they aren't canon, right?

You don't need to assume, they're not canon.

I know this is only a preview and we had maybe two paragraphs of Celia's actions so I am attempting to keep an open mind. That being said her actions in the volume preview kind of disappointed me in chapter 1.

Volume 22 she declared to Rio and Aishia that she can't be their burden anymore and she also knows they are at risk of forgetting everyone and told both Rio and Sora she would attempt to have results for them by the time they got back.

Volume 23, she throws all that growth in volume 22 away. She completes her objective but then decides to run back into the burning house of a kingdom, solo no less. Not relying on the others, but perhaps getting a little arrogant with her new power? Hopefully there is more growth here and she doesn't become a heroine in distress over this. As her family has always been in danger since volume 11, agreements only kicked in recently, so it kind of feels out of place for her to drop everything and run to them now with no plan of action.

She's probably being watched by Aishia. With or without her knowing. Either way, there might be a plan in place, either by Celia herself or by Rio.

We should wait for either the full volume and/or the full summary we're used to reading on the Wiki before making judgments like this.

I quite liked what I saw tho. You talk about the time from vol 11, but the difference is that the rules have changed from then, both sides of Bertram were sort of playing diplomatic chess, then in vol 22 duke Arbor guided by Reiss broke those riles, he flipped the table and started playing by the rules of war and might. Christina can't do that because her faction doesn't have might, so she has to continue playing diplomacy chess, but the duke who's playing war will ignore her chess moves; hence she pulled a move so broken that it broke some 4th wall. Ok, that was a stupidly prolonged preface, but to comment on what you said; Celia needs to make sure her family is safe because Arbor who now plays by war and might rules might do something to them, and keep them updated on the true situation so that they don't make misinformed decisions and fall for traps due to misunderstanding the current circumstances, their own included.

Now on her arrogance, I also thought that Celia may be having a hubris moment, but I say that's welcome, assuming she is feeling arrogant then as long as the author remembers that growth is build upon mistakes, and gives her growth after she is dealt some damage from arrogance, it is a welcome thing. What I loved the most however, is that the author balanced Celia power wise; sure she has wise gods magic now, which is op, but her mana well is very much limited, meaning that if she wants to take on Renji for example, she can do it depending on her planning and preparations. It just makes me relieved to know that the author is thinking as he writes and trying to keep things within the walls of reason, no cheap plot armors; it sounded to me like he announced: no Celia didn't become a mary sue, she's trying to handle her and her faction's problems and she's no Rio or Aishia while doing it.

I did tho think "bruh, Celia is supposed to figure how to manufacture the masks but , doesn't seem like she can get to that anytime soon with tensions in Bertram rising to the moon." On this aspect, I believe Rio should have solved or at least made some moves and laid some traps regarding Bertram situation, it just seems to me that he should interfere now and waste, say a mask maybe, rather than wait for it to become a dumpster fire and have to probably assimilate and use his authority at worst to handle it.

I agree here.

And yeah, how are they planning on dealing with the mask issue, I wonder. I really hope Celia can figure out how make more when she finally gets to studying them.

@jagt: Yes, thanks.
