Macduff said they have a spy within Liones. So their information is not related to Guinevere, but another traitor? Chion is garbage, but he has Gilthunder and Margaret behind him. Jade on the other hand just feels like a chill, nice guy, which is the perfect facade for a spy. Chion even wondered this chapter that the memory Jade mentioned happened at all. Lancelot also noticed that something is off. If there is another traitor, it's within the group, I'm sure of it.

Teannich has Dragon Ball characters' eyes. She could be female Zeldris or Donny as well.

The woman at the end reminds me of Merlin.

The woman at the end reminds me of Merlin too, but what I'm wondering about is if she's with the enemy here. But that said: isn't Tristan lucky to have found a room with such a sexy adult woman? All bets are off if she's an enemy, but otherwise he's lucky.

Macduff and Teannich are there thanks to the spy they have in Liones, which explains what they were doing there in the original timeline. The naked woman is the one Arthur sent as reinforcements after Guinevere told him the future and she's the reason everything is out of whack.

It shouldn't be common knowledge where the knights of prophecy are headed. Spying some tidbits is easy more or less, but knowing the locations for the groups or where they are headed first is not. That's why I'm intrigued about this potential spy in Liones. Or I'm just overthinking that it could be a platoon member.

The timeline fuckery should be amusing enough.

Yeah, I think Kanon's right: the woman Tristan ran into is probably the one sent in by Arthur after he heard what Guinevere said. But I'm waiting for the backlash Guinevere said they'd have to take if they try to interfere with fate. That should be good--if it doesn't hurt the good guys, of course.

And yeah, there probably is a spy in Liones. Otherwise, they wouldn't already have known even before Guinevere gave that info to Arthur where the four knights were headed.

We first see Chion sharing a room with Percy and Lancelot. He's obviously upset that he's not by Tristan's side. Lance says he's having trouble spotting any enemies in the town, which makes Chion all the more worried about his master. In the girls' room, Anne is admiring the nice view outside. Gawain, however, is taking in a different view.... the other girls' butts. Isolde, however, is worried about the possibility of Tristan being seduced by a woman more attractive than her. Next, we cut to the other boys' room, which Donnie and Nasciens shares with Jade. The latter apologizes for Chion's behavior, saying he's his childhood friend, and that Tristan once saved them during a certain past event. Nasciens then asks Jade if he has a crush on Isolde.... which he doesn't deny. However, he feels he has no chance with her since she's head over heels for Tristan. In return, he asks if Nasciens has a thing for Anne, but the alchemist seems to sidestep the question....

Next, we focus on Tristan and the mysterious woman. He asks her to cover up, but she has trouble buttoning up her shirt. Coincidentally, Isolde and Chion show up outside the room, the latter using his Sylph magic to eavesdrop on the conversation. They hear something rather.... misleading, causing them to panic and break the door down! The misunderstanding is soon cleared up, but the mystery lady still says she wants to have a private conversation with Tristan. He agrees to her request, asking his platoon to leave. Finally, we cut to the two enemy knights, Teaninich and MacDuff, who continue to plot the assassination....

BTW, something interesting to note is that throughout the chapter, we see various small creatures skulking around in the heroes' rooms. In Percy's is what appears to be a lizard or frog (salamander, maybe?), an owl flying outside of the girls' room, a spider in the second boys' room, and lastly a butterfly (or moth?) in Tristan's room. All spies for Arthur, perhaps....?

Gawain's antics amuse me greatly. Chion is still super annoying. Kind of obvious already but we have confirmation Nasiens likes Percival. I wonder how much longer Nakaba is going to wait before revealing her true gender.

Considering the upcoming anime, there is a chance Nasiens' seiyuu will be revealed before the manga has the gender confirmation. Obviously, I'm expecting a female to voice Nasiens, but you never know in this day and age.

About the lady, I don't think she is with Arthur, but she just happened to be here as someone potentially problematic, a neutral party. The animal spies are interesting, but I also doubt it's her that's using them. It should be revealed soon.

I do still wonder if she isn't a spy for Arthur, but yeah, she also might not be. It's possible she's going to warn Tristan about the real spy, or something like that.

And yeah, Nasiens is probably a woman. I guess we'll see.

Percy and co. take part in the festival! Its purpose is to pray for those whose lives were lost in the holy war. While Percy's group celebrate, we cut to Tristan's chat with the mystery woman. She introduces herself as Ioladio Verviger, or just Io for short.

It's not long before Chion and Isolde start freaking out over Tristan's safety again, and ask the others to come along to check on him. The enemy Chaos Knights are spying on our heroes, noting that despite being so close to them, they can't sense their magical power. They surmise that someone put up some sort of jamming spell over the town, but ultimately consider this an advantage for their mission. Back below, Lancelot and Gawain refrain from checking on Tristan. Instead, Lance asks Gawain to undo the magical jamming, in exchange for pudding. She obliges, activating Absolute Cancel!

The spell has indeed been undone. However, we soon find out the source of the jamming magic: Io! She notices her spell was undone, so she simply reactivates it! She then answers a question that Tristan asked her earlier: She's neither on Camelot's side..... nor is she even human. She suddenly transforms into a strange creature, which Tristan assumes is a demon....!!!!

Oh, and we get a little bonus story with Mel and Gilthunder! Basically, they voice their concerns about their kids as any parent typically does. But what's interesting here is that they seem to mention the son of Griamor, as well.... whose name is something like Dreydrin (seems to be a combination of Dreyfus and Fraudrin's names, heh ).

So Io isn't the one Arthur sent, and she's in fact a demon. A surprising twist.

As the rest of the gang searches for Tristan, the prince faces off against the transformed Io! As they fight, he asks her why she's attacking him if she isn't on Camelot's side. Is it because of his Goddess lineage? Or is it because of his relation to Meliodas, who's considered a traitor to the Demon clan? Io replies that those guesses are far off the mark....

Meanwhile, as Percy's team continue the search, Nasciens suggests Chion try using his Sylph. He attempts to, but notices that his voice won't come out. In fact, ALL sound has been cut off! It seems this was the doing of McDuff, who ambushes the group! We then cut to Anne and Isolde, who feel someone sneaking behind them. When someone taps her shoulder, Isolde panics and swings wildly.... only to discover that it was Jade all along! However, something still doesn't add up.... Jade approached them from the side, not behind. That's when the trio discover they're under attack by Teaninich, who shoots an arrow at them! However, the arrow turns out to be.... a snake?!

And I'm curious about what reason Io has to attack Tristan.

I thought Jade was the traitor when Chion noticed he had disappeared, but given that he's supposedly in love with Isolde and went to her side, I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt. Still weird he skedaddled without saying a word.

Jade as a traitor is still suspicious to me more because of that comment about how they once visited the festival and it made Chion wonder. Fake memory creation and insertion would be wild, though it's reaching at this point. But that could make the entire childhood friend backstory a lie too. It doesn't help that the only magic Jade used so far was a vision blocking sphere, nothing else. Let's face it, the Percival Platoon won't have traitors. Chion's traitor card was already used in the previous arc, he is just a bitter asshole. Isolde is out of the question. That leaves Gawain, who already teased that she could betray them, therefore won't, and Jade, a normal looking and acting felllow among a bunch of weirdos.

Is the snake arrow a semi-confirmation that the animal spies were Teannich's doing?

You make a pretty good point, there. It could be Jade. Or the author could pull a fast one on us and have it be Chion instead anyway. Blindsiding us.

But yeah, I also don't think it's Gawain.

Percival dies. No doubt about it this time, Chion confirms his death. Shit will go down next time.

I think he'll survive this time too. Biggest reason being that he's the MC, and another being the fact that his Death Horseman power should allow him to survive.
