They're new pictures of Bael, which still fall under "we don't have many picture of it" category for now so it seems fine to me. In addition, these are official Bandai pictures as opposed to picture taken at a lot expo, so there is more effort to make sure they great for marketing purposes. This allows us another avenue to judge the colors and design better.

For example, I think the impression these official picture given is more positive than the ones I've seen previously and improves the perception of the design a little bit more in my eyes.

Unless Bael has already showed up and kicking ass in the show, in which case forget anything I said. I'm behind four episodes due to being busy. Although I assume it hasn't, given how measly the mecha thread is within the last few weeks.

Ya man, I'm just so busy with stuff that I just couldn't get in the mood to sit down and watch them yet. I'll try within the next few days since there's less stuff to do.

Here's a question I want to ask. What do you guys think is Bael's special ability? It doesn't seem to have much in terms of weapons. It's very plain. Even it's swords might not originally have come with it.

Maybe bael has the most fastest speed among all the 72 gundams thanks to it's wings?

I think it's something like atmospheric flight? We've never seen any Gundam in this series do that so far, right?

We have not and probably won't, because we already have the Astaroth Origin, which is capable of only limited flight with wings to generate lift.

When you think about it though, whatever specialization a Gundam has most likely comes from armor and/or equipment it has on.

Look at Guison, it started off as this heavy defense Gundam, then when Tekkadan got hold of it, it became more of a all-around Gundam capable of close quarter combat as well as long range combat.

So for Bael, whatever unique features it has would most likely be brought by those wings. If the gold blades were not introduced before, I'd think that those wings turns into blades - anti nanolaminate armor blades to be specific - and Bael takes on the role that Exia had in OO - the anti-Gundam measure.
