yes, i like girls with that kind of trait.

I voted for Saber, i guess because shes really strict (and cute), with this kind of girl it would be priceless to see her smile and show abit of her cute side just once. Although that barely happened so far in the anime but just thinking about it is as good. Kinda like tsudere, but taken farther - extreme tsudere personality aha.

It's hard to determine a favourite for me at this point with so many servants still unknown to me but I think Archer, Rin and Saber are all great characters right now.

Imho though, Shirou is not very interesting and a bad main character, heres a few reasons why. To me, theres no depth to his personality. Considering a fire from the previous war took away his house and whole family, you'd think there'd be some lust for revenge or even a little anger at least. All I get from him is 'I don't want to see anyone else get hurt' or 'I'm grateful to those who rescue me' . It makes him seem a little flat and one dimensional.

Another thing that slightly annoys me is him always trying to commit suicide i.e trying to fight other peoples battles. This is just what I got from the show but if saber loses she doesn't really 'die' right? And if Shirou dies, doesn't she disappear anyway? He doesn't seem to give a monkeys what happens to him which I know is supposed to come off as self righteous and heroic but I see it as over the top and a little stupid. It would be more interesting to me if he was scared/hurt/angry and admitted it...was even cowardly a few times but still carried on fighting and performed where it really counts. That would be more heroic in my opinion.

Finally before I shut up, if he really like saber so much that he would rather kill himself than see her hurt, how about respecting her opinions and feelings a bit more. It seems to me as if nothing is more important to her than fighting in this war and winning the prize, wouldn't it be more kind to help her do that instead of always getting in her way? What he's doing is nothing more than selfish [/Rant]

Wow, suzuhiko. I see your point but if you think about how saber talks and how her attitude is, then I think it’s alright. Also Shirou did apologize to Saber and now he is working with her more. Have you watch all the eps?

I have to admit I missed that one out but I've just watched it now. It has changed my mind about him, I suppose he has courage to want to fight too and I like him a lot more now. My previous post was a bit harsh but it's only because I like this anime and don't want it to be spoiled with cliche characters.

I still think he's a bit wooden and I'd like to see more fear about what's to come and some bitterness about his past. To me that would fill out his personality and make it seem more valid. Maybe it's just my tastes though. Still at least I don't hate him anymore now XD.

Rider...because instead of just blasting down her enemy, she's rather cunning and uses terrain and stealth with which to fight, she's strikingly beautiful. Also, in FHA, she is the quintessence of a perfect, dream woman. Works, reads (read: SMART AND INTELLECTUAL), is very quiet, extremely beautiful, cooks, and can dish out some major kickassery if need be.

Plus, she seems to be the only gal you could hug without her eviscerating you.

I really love her character and the fact that she seems not to be able to handle her newly-discovered feelings towards Shirou.

The second to get my vote would be one of the two Archers... but I don't know which just yet.

I base my vote only on the anime, not on the game. If I based my vote using the game, Saber would stay first and Emiya would be my second choice.

Archer has surpassed Emiya Shirou as my favorite. Lancer and Shinji still remain third and fourth respectively. Honorable mention goes to Saber and Berserker. All the other characters I like just about the same. No characters I don't like yet, though maybe Gilgamesh will cross the line, I'll have to see.
