I also can't believe ya'll think 7 is the worst episode yet.. I had to skip nearly the entire 6th episode because it's just the same old stuff which always happens.

I found 7 to be rather refreshing, since

For once, the 3 tramps didn't show up.. working on some bizarre activity which they always manage to get themselves into, and then put on disguises like team rocket (as if it wasn't obvious from the beginning) to spy on Yuuto and Haruka..

Although, that green haired girl really reminds me of Mika

Episode 7 was refreshing from the usual romantic developments, but at the same time pretty weak compared to the episodes in the first and second season... The main reason is Shiina, since we already knew in the first season that she had no chance of winning Yuuto, but somehow the love triangle still goes on and on...

Not the worst episode, but it was pretty weak... Hope that the ending will turn out good or I will be disappointed.

Spoiler for Purezza 08 - Age and Appearance Are Correlated With One's Proximity to Being a Main Character; If Mika Was the Star Of This Show, She'd Look "High School" Age, Because That Is The Median All Characters Strive For:

Mika takes the spotlight this week, and her own girl posse gets some screentime. I recognized Eri as Aki Toyosaki right away. Her voice has that distinctive quality to it, and her other two friends were Rina Hidaka and Aoi Yuki, respectively. That makes Toyosaki another person in this show doubling up on roles.

That said, fun episode. We only got a brief glimpse of Mika's school in the first season, and now more is known. Student Council President, spreading tales of lust and passion, filled in a school where the girls are likely just as curious about each other as they are about the outside world. Also, putting on an original magical girl story is an interesting idea, though I can't help but wonder if it's a really elaborately staged Aki-chan fanfic. The main character is named Mika, after all.

And the award for Best New Character With No Dialogue goes to Nelson the raccoon.

Given the title of the series, it's unlikely that any character other than Haruka would end up with Yuuto. But if someone else like Shiina were to win over Yuuto in referring to an ending similar to Canvas 2 she would have to get more involved like right now rather than the final two episodes to Akane Iro. It would be too late for any one else to jump in I would think.

It would be a bad idea to have him end up with no one at this rate unless.....

Well, no... Even in both of those examples, it wasn't just a matter of pulling some covert twist out of nowhere and "surprise!". The groundwork for these sorts of developments are set a long, long time in advance (right in the first few episodes). And this show has made it clear that, despite his being nice to everyone, Haruka is really the only girl in Yuuto's heart. Shiina is very much in the "friend zone", and she always has been. There's no amount of development they could do at this point to change things, because the bond he shares with Haruka is much deeper at this point. And besides that, how would Yuuto getting into a relationship with Shiina relate in any way to the show's main premise or central plot elements? It's just impossible.

The key element that's missing in your comparisons is the pre-existing relationship the heroine shares with the protagonist, which sets the groundwork for a deeper bond that Yuuto simply doesn't share with Shiina. In fact, it's with Haruka that he had the childhood encounter, which is the proverbial third strike.

All that being said, I don't share the opinion some have that this impossibility makes the sort of character episodes we've been getting pointless. You can still be a fan of a heroine even if you know that it wasn't meant to be. In some ways, the fact that it isn't meant to be is part of what makes the heroine who she is.
