I think IKU would be more appropiate for that moment, though in all honesty, they're both great choices.

And well, if a scene from those volumes deserves an insert song, it's that one. Maybe something super action-y for Accel vs. Kakine, but that's it.

I can find memes anywhere about Railgun S' last episode such as: "This episode send Touma to the hospital again" or "Each time a person watches Railgun last episode Kihara kill a puppy"

At least they're taking it on a fun way.

Really where? I haven't seen any of that...

Just wondering about something regarding the unanimated Index novels.

Supposing that the unanimated novels were adapted at a pace which would be considered reasonably satisfactory (ignoring the constraints of a season for now), how many episodes do you reckon would be required for each individual novel?

Also, how would this satisfactory pace compare to the paces we've seen already?

Probably 5-6 episodes per novel. Index Novel 1 was animated to 6 episodes and pretty much had everything from the light novel. Since the Toaru series is full of information, it needs atleast this much so that viewers who only watch the anime won't get lost

That's a little extreme I think. The first novel had alot of initial setting information that had to be included to know what was going on. Volume 14 for example can probably be reasonably well done in just three episodes. First episode gets Touma to France, second episode deals with reaching Terra, third episode does the Terra fight.

It will probably follow the standard 4 episodes with the 2-volume arcs (in Season 3's case 17/18) being 5-7 episodes long.

With less volumes to adapt, it should fare better.

I suppose there would mostly be a relatively similar density...

Another thing I've been wondering about is how some of these 'unexplainable' powers and beings would be portrayed (e.g. being invisible with only the after-effects visible, covered up or obscured through changing shots, use of cg to contrast with regular animation etc) and whether they'd manage to get that trait/feel across successfully.

What methods do you lot think they should or would use?

(I was wondering whether perhaps CG-Cell contrast could be used to illustrate the way Aiwass seemed to be or whether it would be insufficient)

Either a bright flash or an 'invisible' attack

Several times before now, it has been discussed who would be best suited to voicing certain characters who haven't yet been voiced yet, with some interesting suggestions.

Spoiler for Previous voice-speculation posts:

I've been trying to compile a list of such characters in order to compare them and think about who would best fit who (and it's taken quite a while).

Spoiler for The list as it is at the moment:

How many characters are missing, in the wrong place or need to be removed?

And with more books having come out since last time, any new voice suggestions?

Okay, let's say we're optimistic and our dreams come true with a S3

How do u think they'll adapt it though?

I think adapting all OT in 2 cour would be a one way butchery ticket and I truly don't want that >.<

I could wish for a 3 cour but who'd listen to that wish

So what else can they do?

Tbh I'd love it if they can adapt

Vol14,15,16,17,18 and 19 in a 2 cour season. Leaving that EPIC moment when Touma was heading for Russia in the snow, Accel was with the dying LO and Hamazura heading there with Rikou as the last scene. Damn what a cliffhanger that would be :P

As for WWIII I'd actually love it if they could make a 3 part movie for that. Yeah, we'll have to wait for ever but it'll be the best possible animation budget they could possibly bring out

What do u guys think?

I'm just going to re-hash what I said a couple of months back. Although...a 3-parter WWIII movie might not be a bad idea...It's definitely feasible...and would give a good arc the animation budget it deserves...

I prefer options 1 and 4.
We can't have any anime original arcs for Index. Ever.

Do the Norse Mythology and SS really have to be done in anime?

I don't really see them fitting well enough in between any of the arcs.

OVAs would be for the best imo.

Ur ideas are nice but they'd be even better without the SS2 and NM

An Ova series for Kanzaki would be a cool in between vol.22 and NT.

Itsuwa SS is fine but Styl Sp has a priority because it introduces Birdway.

True. I agree that they're important. Just not in the series itself ^^

OVAs would be much better for those kind

I'm pretty sure Birdway was first introduced in the Kanzaki SS but the Stiyl SS and the Mark Space SS were the ones that introduced Golden Style Magic so they are fairly important.

No. SP came first and Birdway on Kanzaki SS was more a cameo than a proper introduction.

I don't want a season 3... I want a reboot that's twice as long in adapting all of the novels... That would be so much better... they could try to fix everything important that they left out...

If we do have to settle for season 3 (if we get that at all), then I think we need to go the route of:

Volumes 14-19... with no SS2 until fourth season, because that fits in with the WWIII arc...

The Aqua battle with Carissa is clearly the best stopping point... and they really need to give WWIII it's own movie/season whatever to actually justify it...

They need the Index SP volume that isn't really up for debate. That's the first volume where I really liked Birdway before NT 2 (other than the Volume 22 cameo...)

For season 3, the best thing as far as I'm concerned is how popular Mugino's VA got because of Kill la Kill (which was super epic by the way for the people who haven't seen it... it reminds me a bit of Index style... just anime original and therefore not quite as long. ) which should make for an amazing Battle Royale arc if they do it. RyukoMugino's VA will be amazing!!!

Finally, the fact that Mako's VA from Kill la Kill is Rikou (Takitsubo) just makes things infinitely better (and lol to the coincidence...) It'll just make things that much more epic for those of us who saw Kill la Kill.

I still find it hilarious that Senketsu's VA is Aleister Crowley.

Anyway, moving aside from Kill la Kill VA's...

If next season comes out eventually, I just worry about how they're going to do the Battle Royale Arc. Since it doesn't have Touma, and just Accelerator/Hamazura they're going to have to work hard to make it look relevant.

The other problem is that Kamachi is much better at transitions than the anime staff are, so they're going to have to work on that.

I hope they milk volumes 14-19 for what they're worth since there are so many good scenes there...

I wonder how they're going to try to make it work; it'll be interesting so see that's for sure...

Realistically speaking if nothing changes, it's best to proceed with the assumption that the next Animation project, if any, would be the very last one.
