I think volume 8 is a fine ending as it ends with Bell, Ais and Hestia looking over the sunset which is a pretty good way to end the season with a post credit scene showing Wiene.

I don't think it is too bad to end on volume 8

just thought of something, the poster art for the movie has Hestia and Bell outside the city of Orario, with the tower of Babel in the background. one way they can easily transit that from the original story, is

to have the TV season 2 ended at when Hestia is kidnapped and moved outside the city, then have the movie pick that up and have an original new ending compare to the ending of novel 8.

either that or after they finish season 2 with novel 8 ending, then they decided to revisit the dragon valley again, in either case, the end part of the novel 8 could be the start of the movie.

Amm the movie is coming out before the anime. Additionally, they haven't really completely started on season 2 which is why there is no visual for it yet there is visual for the movie cause they have started working on it already. Hence movie is coming out first.

That is my speculation though but I am pretty sure there is some fact somewhere

Bell and Ryuu who are Lv4 are in serious trouble being on the 37th floor which are crawling with Lv4 monsters and being pursued by the Juggernaut that should be at least Lv6.

The rest of Bell's party are also in trouble because they only have one Lv4 adventurer and had just recently used level boost on multiple people. The amphisbaena's strength is at Lv5 but being in an area with water makes it as dangerous as a Lv6. Maybe Haruhime somehow will be able to use level boost again which is a great achievement that will cause her to level up.

Once this all plays out, I'm guessing that both the Knossos and remains of the Evilus members will have been destroyed. That will be quite a major achievement and will affect some more than others. Perhaps Ryuu will finally be able to get over her desire for revenge and all the other things that were preventing her from moving on. She might also end up feeling really indebted to Bell...

Umm. They're not the "big bad" of the series. That's the dungeon itself and/or the Black Dragon.

What if the Evilus used the Black Dragon somehow to wipe out the Zeus and Hera Familias in an attempt to get at Orario. The events happened around the same time. And what Ryuu and her Familia stumbled could have been something huge going on behind the scenes.

With many wails as a sacrifice, a red path of meat will be created (Passages 4-6 refer to the deaths of the adventurers of the attack squad)

The blue waterways will become rivers of blood, and its variable comrades will rejoice

The lower reaches of the abyss will wash away the overflowing bodies, returning everything to the mother

The squirrel will bloom flowers of meat (Lili's innards spill out and she dies. Later on, passages 7-12 are used for the attack squad adventurers without specifically referring to people)

The fox will fleetingly be torn apart (A torn apart Haruhime sunk in a sea of blood)

That's a hell of a prophecy. No wonder Cassandra was vomiting a lot.

I'm guessing all those deaths were suppose to be done by the Juggernaut. That's a terrifying defense mechanism. This is similar to how the body responds to threats from biological pathogens.

The Juggernaut's defense is low but this is compensated with the ability to reflect both magic and physical attacks. It's primary focus seems to be on pure offensive power in order to ensure that everything it deems a threat is eliminated as a result of excessive damage done to the Dungeon.

Seems that after it's skirmish with Bell. The Juggernaut has deemed him the most dangerous threat. This could explain why it followed the Lambton that swallowed Bell and Ryuu.

This has to be by far Bell's worst predicament. The bright side is that due to the circumstances behind being an adventurer is that the worst the situation is, the bigger the payoff. That's ONLY if you survive that is.

I can't wait to see Bell wipe the floor with the Juggernaut.

While the volume was significantly better than the previous one, I am still annoyed that the volume was meant to be centred on Ryuu but it focused more on Cassandra and her prophecy.

Then again I think this arc was meant to be one volume but the author decided to make it 2, so the next volume is probably going to be that Ryuu volume I wanted.

It was half and half in this volume for Ryuu and Cassandra. The next volume should focus more on Ryuu and Bell's situation.
