Great episode except for a certain bland character's appearance.
Every time Mikoto tries to somehow fix the mess she made things only get worse. At this point it seems there is no hope left for Mikoto...

Something that hit me: Biribiri Vision must be strong in Railgun. Touma is more of a bishounen than any of this Index appearances.

Another great episode. It's amazing the way this show makes those sisters so endearing.and then douses you with a bucket of cold water when you get a reminder of what's about to happen to them later. It's done a damn good job expanding their characters.

The only thing i thought was wrong with the episode was the terrible music placement at the end. It was way too upbeat for what was supposed to be a despairing moment. The ED should have started after the scene was over.

honestly i enjoyed this episode overall but sadly i can only give it a 8/10 even with touma and accelerator appearances in this episode.

to those who are thinking how come touma looks great, it is actually a design upgrade not a bri bri vision. you can tell even when misaka wasn't with touma he was still looking great and it was stated only mikoto views touma as a bishounen. so far it seems that they managad to make kamijou even more likable then he was before i was more overjoyed with his appearance in railgun then in the index series.

Of course, it wasn't intentional, but at the same time that makes its culprit even more frightening .

20 days before destruction?

Anyway, AC knew just a few hours after the fact, not a few days.

The subbers just mistook 8 with 28.

Which is impossible because the Tree Diagram was destroyed on the 28th of July.

And this episode said the 8th of July- that was a mistake.

Yes, I just remember that scene to be much more epic.
But I rewatched Index 6, and it was quite disappointing.

Nostalgia goggles, I guess.

Lots of sweet Touma/Misaka 10032 scenes in this episode, you can see him slowly bringing out her humanity, it adorable!

Course we know the next episode going to much lower on adorableness...

8/10

Well it could just be that it's your second time seeing it. Nothing is ever as good the second time you watch it.

@Chaos: so tree diagram is going to be destroyed one month from now... give or take

Can anyone tell what year this story is in? I'm not buying the fact that whenever we see dates, we don't see a year. That's absolutely ridiculous... Every announcement, even AC internal important announcements have no date. That would be a horrible disaster in the future if they couldn't know the exact dates

Not always true. I've had it be better sometimes. That only happens when its so good that you can't get the maximum enjoyment the first time because you don't notice everything then.

In this case: Stream was fine. Raw was better because I can pause and re-watch. Subtitles were even better because I understood what was going on and the 4th time watch rewatching subtitles was like: I notice all of these things in my hour long post

@Haak you're probably right about the music though in terms of the endings' placement. However, it's really been growing on me slowly (pun intended).

But, I'm not so sure it would be good at the very end either. The PV afterall was a harsh shift from both the ending and the scene with Mikoto. I don't think that rising action would have fit in either. They also already did a special ending the previous episode. I think it was fine having that ending. After having scene all of the characters throughout the season finally animated, the opening is really growing on me because (I like the animated versions of the characters more). Both songs feel like they're improving I wonder if it's a conspiracy... Maybe not But that's how it feels.

I'm not sure they could have done something else.

7/10

Episode didn't really go any where, but I do appreciated the animation, also I agree with everyone in that Touma is for some reason extremely likable in this season.

I'am not sure about the anime, but I know in the LN/manga we're only given months and days, and the only time we're given a year, is if it takes place in the past.

I don't understand how people think Touma is more likable right now. Don't get me wrong, I've always liked his character but he's acting the same as he always does, so why is he suddenly more likable to you guys?

Lol. I don't mind them liking him more. The means don't matter: the end is the only thing that matters. e.g. liking Touma

But actually, he really has a different feel this season. And if you think about why, then you would realize that it would make him a lot more likeable.

Proably, just a guess, because isn't shown what Touma usually does like interacting with several characters, usually females, and his gag that is complain about his misfortune while ignoring the MC of this series.

This is Touma when he is the most likable. Touma only becomes annoying when he starts lecturing his enemies before punching them in the face.

Haak, is that sum Creeper I see as your avatar?

In other news, I never fail to smile at the Misaka Imouto humor.

Then suddenly, Misaka doing the Mikasa on the walls of District 23!
