I got a question concerning Kanami sidestory.

Is it true that the adventurers in New-York destroyed the cathedral and if it is, what happened to the people that died after that?

Question for the original material. I just checked bt translation but the word apocalypse was change into catastrophe and is it fine that way or is the original word use catastrophe? Because I was used to using the word apocalypse or word fraction or is it faction for the event where adventurer wad summon to elder tale. I usually read in /a/ so I didn't get to check on bt's translation for log hora.

That's few hundred out of 100,000 players, so it's still extremely rare.

Technically "dai saigai" just means "great disaster", so it mostly becomes a matter of context and opinion whether catastrophe or apocalypse is the better word to describe it. I personally prefer apocalypse, as the word is more readily used to describe world-altering events, whereas catastrophe doesn't necessarily have the same scale to it.

Another reason is that I feel that it's overrated to use the word apocalypse here. I've always associated it with end-of-the-world situations with mass destruction abound, so applying it to a one where people are transported from one working and intact world to another doesn't sit well with me.
