Heh -- well, you've only seen the first half of the show, so it leaving you wanting more is exactly the point. You'll see in April (in the second half) why it's still labelled a "romance anime".

I love these kind of threads, they give all kinds of ideas where to go next.

As for my list:

Kanon-2006 (I agree-best ever)

Ai Yori

Mahoraba

Kashimashi

To Heart/To Heart:Remember my memories (It takes both to make a complete romance, but together they are great)

Chobits

Hani Hani Operation Sanctuary (I'm surprised no one has mentioned this one yet)

World of Narue (one of the best "feel-good" anmie around)

Da Capo

Natsuiro no Sunadokei (Only a 2 eps OVA, but still good for all that)

I love "Oh! My Goddess", but I can't, in good conscience, call it a real romance. "Mahoromatic" would have made the list, but the final episobe Pi*** me Off so much, I still haven't forgiven them. TMoHS is great over all, but the romance is too buried to fit, in my mind. I will give a nod to "Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na", but it doesn't make my top ten.

There are a few shows this year that may make the cut (Clannad, EF-A Tale of Memories, Myself:Yourself), but I've intentionally put off passing judgment until I've seen all episodes.

I don't think Kanon is that romantic it has its few moments with makoto and even a little to ayu, but other than that its not really a romantic anime in my opinion, so as it says "best romantic" then i would have to say for that it has to be Ai Yori Aoishi.

After watching Ai Yori Aoishi, I would have to agree it's one of the best.

Yup, my favorite romance anime is still Kimi ga Nozomu Eien followed by Cardcaptor Sakura (yes I consider it romance) and then The Place Promised in Our Early Days.

No, I am not that big a fan of Strawberry Panic. I have to say it pales compared with Simoun in terms of character development, and the deepness and broadness of the theme. Also too many fanservices really really turned me off. It is still a solid series, but not among my favorite for sure.

Um... I don't think anyone mentioned it... but DearS is a fun anime to watch. If u can let the perverted teacher slide than I'm sure you'll realize it's worth to watch.

Yoake Mae Yori Ruriino Na was very beautiful. It had everything i ever hoped for in a romance anime. This anime went up to my second best ever :P.

Ok so after watching most of the anime listed here i think i decided upon my favourite romance anime list. Here it is:

1. Onegai Teacher - True, the anime has some weird circumstances but the love story
and the character developpement are incredible.
2. Kanon (2006) - Though I didn't agree with his choice. I mean... c'mon who would go for that kid?

3. Mahoraba - Though you won't see kisses or conffesions in this anime the feelings of the main characters are really strong and they've earned a place in my top.
4. Yoake Mae Yori Ruriino Na - The ending was indeed a bit over the top, but till then it was pretty good.
5. Shuffle! - It was a very good anime. The best part was that i actually didn't know who was he going to choose.

I truly recommend you guys and girls to watch all of them. Other cool romantic anime for me would be Love Hina, Canvas 2, Midori No Hibi, Fruits Basket, Ai Yori Aoshi, Karin, Suzuka, Onegai Twins, Dears, Air (TV).

Also, a very good anime is Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien. It didn't make my top 5 just because I hated Mitsuki, I don't know why but i just hated her

While surfing the web trying to find some place to watch Mahoromatic season 2 i accidentally found a site that has a good list of romance anime to watch. However I will not post it here cuz I don't want to break any rules or something so if anyone wants it send me a message and i'll be happy to help you out.
