Well, when I said 60 layers, I was talking about the .psd and not the .gif. Only about 22~30ish layers are in use by .gif.

Upward? It's all downwards. XD

Mhhhhhm. They just bounce endlessly.

Liqiud? I don't think I can do that. All I'm doing is taking a dynamic CG from the Neptunia games, recording it as it moves, and breaking the video clip up into frames, and then putting those frames together to make a sig.

yep im also onto your psd trying to figure out how many layers you used", im just confused how come you came up with 60 layers that suppose to be 22 or less layers with 22 frames.

But it isn't supposed to be 22 layers or less. If it were, I'm sure my userbars would turn out very minimalist.

First 47: 22 animated layers, 22 clipping masks on these, 3 background layers.
Last 16: 1 eclipse layer, 4 character reference layers (unchecked), 1 scan lines (unchecked) layer, 1 text reference layer (unchecked), 1 logo reference layer, 2 character layers (1 is unchecked), 1 border layer, and the remaining 5 are unchecked misc. layers that don't show up in the final piece. They're the main part of the template, basically.

Ah, liquify; I don't like using that filter because of how time taking it can be to get a good result.

I either open the video files (usually .mp4) in VirtualDub, select the needed segment and export the files as an image sequence, and then import them into CS5 as frames or I import the video file directly into CS5 as animated frames.

please tell me if the gif split and shrunken into lower quality and size because of my lousy isp. the userbar should be in 14kb.
back to my point, here, i rushed one user bar to proof what i'm saying", i only used 11 layers for the characters. just lazy to make it 18",

The gif is fine; the size is as it should be (14kb).

Uhm, I don't particularly care about the difference between our layering; there is no good or bad when it comes to layers. I just do what I'm comfortable with.

Hm, I gave it a go, but I can't seem to get it below 400kb without either killing the size or the quality. As it is, I had to remove a lot of unnecessary layers, so the animation isn't as smooth, but it's nice enough. Would you rather I reduce the size, or the quality?

I'll give it another go after I wake up tomorrow.

I'd go with size then...
Hell, I'd be fine even if it were a bit smaller than your own.
