I found this series recently and it's quickly become one of my favorites, if not my absolute favorite. I'm not sure why it strikes such a nice chord with me but I can't wait for the next chapter. Gah, I hate it when I get consumed by monthly series. Also Miyamura is an clueless idiot sometimes, but I think that mostly stems from his huge insecurities and low self-confidence. He doesn't see that Hori likes him because he can't believe that anyone would possibly like him.

Geez, I really should pay more attention to the Manga section. I didn't even realize this thread exists.

Overall a good chapter, but I am not impressed by the "misunderstanding" at the end of the chapter.

Oh well, some drama is not really a bad thing, if and only if it is well-executed, as in contributing to the development of their romance. Hope it won't drag for long.

..I don't think there'll be some major drama with that. Horimiya tends to do weird development for their characters IMO

Yup, I am hoping for that too. This is one of the reasons why I like Horimiya; it is quite different from other romance mangas in this sense.

I personally think this manga is different because it's not quite the same as the majority of shounen romance out there. I mean, stuff like Suzuka or GE is the staple for shounen romance imo, not this.

It's also a slice of life manga. that aspect really changes the whole feel of the manga even if it's also romance.

I'm no so sure that's the reason. The dynamic between the characters is just different, though I can't put my finger on exactly how. In fact, the original web comic was also a slife of life but it felt somewhat more "shounen" than this version.

I dunno.. he looks more plain for me compared to when he had long hair and lifts up his bangs

There's something about the art that doesn't really brings up the whole 'bishounen' aura for Miyamura with short hair ;(
