Saw someone else make this analogy, for anyone familiar with the Metal Gear Solid franchise Kaneki vs Arima is essentially The Boss vs Big Boss. It's even more apparent when you realize there were was a flower motif for both fights.

Arima's death was beautiful and sad. He was a slave his whole life, and the only thing he could do was choose his own death.

Well that and he was able to train Kaneki.

Anyway, this chapter raises the question of why V/Washuus want an agent among the Qs. I think the Qs could be the next step in whatever V and the Washuus are planning, they are arguably the "perfected" form of their hybridization research. A being that could convincingly pass as both a human and a ghoul.

P.S. Damn it, I guess this means Ginny is a mole, why do so many of the hot women in this series have to be crazy and/or work for the wrong people

That explains a lot about the Washuu clan and why they aren't usually on the front lines.It also explains why Arima was so strong.

Looks like Yoshitoki is screwed now that his secret has come out. I highly doubt he'll be able to dispose everyone before they leak his secret.

Arima's death was sad, but also sort of poetic. He was known as the grim reaper for being able to deal out death, but in the end he was the one that wanted to meet death the most. He was tired of only being able to take and the only way he would be free of that was if he took his own life.

Also, the scenes with Marude and the Washu seem to have happened before Urie and friends discovering Torso's torso, so I guess the Special Class that died was indeed Marude.

hmmmm Rize was also bred in the Garden... she was 100% ghoul but with super OP kagune. So maybe she was bred to be mother for future hybrids?

And Futura was hybrid and now he undergone Kanou surgery... I guess we have new final boss

I guess Rize is special for the same reason Eto is?

Think about it, Rize and Eto would make perfect "breeding stock" as far as V and the Washuus are concerned. They are both exceptional ghoul/ghoul hybrids so any children born from them might have a better chance at being more human (in Eto's case) or be stronger agents (in the case of Rize).

There were what? Only 3 people or so in the room? It is possible that Marude or Hide left information with others in the event of their deaths, but the much more likely scenario is that Yoshitoki killed everyone in that room. As DoubleGin noted, the special class casualty was more likely to be Marude than Yoshitoki.

I've got a theory guys:
We know the Washuu's were in the ghoul extermination business before quinques, so to be effective at that they probably have a really strong kagune that runs in their family.
I'm suspecting Rize is a Washuu, which, combined with the above, would explain why her kagune seems to be so brutally OP.

What are the odds that when Kaneki goes to catch up with the others, he finds them all captured or dead?

Then the story turns into Kaneki & Eto's onslaught against V(Washu Clan)

There has to be some reason why Arima wants people(V,CCG) to believe that he died by Kaneki's hands. I just know after this that Kaneki is going to become the focal point for V,CCG though.

After this the CCG is going try hunting down SSS rank ghoul Ken for 'killing Arima'( for V it's possibly just a pretext though) and Furuta pretty much just left Eto there, I got the feeling that he never really had any intentions on killing her.

p.s I always wonder why did Arima's hair turn white when it used to be black, but this latest chapter pretty much comfirms that it was because of old age(he ages faster than normal human)

what is Kanou trying to achieve again? He turns human to ghoul while V wants to turn ghoul to human, such tragic contrast.
