I'm always under the assumption they are releasing High Elves/Dark Elves with Lizardmen since it makes the most sense.
So playing a Bretonnia campaign on Legendary I found it one of the easiest behind Vampire Count. Confederated all Bretonnians by around turn 79 thanks to the Wood Elves declaring war on Carcassonne. Bordeleaux was my heaven in terms of economics and I built walls around that place like my life depended on it. Playing the early game passively and farming the Greenskins early was nice, until you remembered you're playing Legendary and Skaeling sent 3 full stacks on you by turn 21. This was a weird game session though. Empire was actually able to become big as an AI and not die in the first 10 turns. I really enjoy the win condition for Bretonnia, it allows for a lot of flexibility in how you achieve victory. I did get really aggressive in the technology tree by picking literally everything on the left side. Didn't run into any issues with money since I was confederating like mad after getting Artois and using their armies to break down Marienburg. Overall Bretonnia is a guaranteed recommend for beginners. Flexible victory conditions, easy technology tree, relaxing starting position. I'm mostly just disappointed that after all these months of waiting for Bretonnia the troop roster wasn't as I expected. It's good enough to be competitive but just wasn't fulfilling. The cavalry is still beautiful though. PS: Their economy building tree is really fun.

High Elf Roster
I'm assuming this means we're gonna be getting both the Lizardman content and High Elves too?! Haven't really been following the news on future content, but maybe they're done with the DLC for TW:W 1 and are now completely focusing on TW:W 2. Though, it has been quite awhile since the last DLC.

Total War Warhammer 1 development is finished since the Bretonnia free DLC was the last work done for it before they work on Total War Warhammer 2.
Total War Warhammer 2 will be a standalone expansion pack so you can play it without Total War Warhammer 1 with the catch being you can't travel to the Old World (where most of the factions from the 1st game are) and can only play the four factions of the game: Lizardmen, High Elves, Dark Elves and Skaven(Yes, i know about the whole "There is no such thing as Skaven" joke but it's already obvious they're going to be in the game).

They probably are just taking their time on releasing info. First it was Lizardmen, then High Elves. Dark Elves and Skaven are probably next. No specific release date yet (aside from mentioning TW:W 2 coming out later this year) so they have plenty of time to spread out game info over the coming months. If I had to guess, probably somewhere in September or October when other Triple A games tend to release.

TW:W 2 release date is September 28th! They are doing the same thing they did with TW:W pre-order bonus. A race unlock. People gonna be mad! Lol.
Here's a minute long-ish gameplay vid from E3 I'm kinda disappointed in the visuals. Looks almost the same as TW:W. I know it's only been a year since TW:W, but you would think with a "newer" game, the visuals would be somewhat updated...
