Bones did a good job of making up the original story, but of course the manga still makes it pale in comparison. It definitely looks like a reboot, the questions remains though, is it going to restart from the fake priest or somewhere else? In the beginning there are already changes but they were minor so I'm not sure. Although Edward's entrance exam should definitely be changed into the manga's version.

Looking forward to Lin, and Envy's true form. (I wonder how are they going to animate it)

I'm not sure if starting from the start would be a good idea, since a lot of people who have seen the first series might be bored, knowing the outcome of the plot at the start...

I'm pretty excited to see the differences, still haven't read the manga (and I won't, unless I read that it still wasn't an accurate adaptation).

wow after watching that, gave me shivers, FUCK HUGHES is the man. Animation looks like its top notch so I actually wouldn't mind a complete reboot.

Saw this in the new 00 Ep. The animation looks real smooth for you. And from this, it's certain that the anime will come back to the manga. The issue is, from where?

i liked the first version, and never read the manga...but a few things i hope are

- Ed is less of a baby
- Envy is more vicious and has a bigger part, scar also
- Armstrong isnt in the buff flex'in so much
- i was expecting Roy Mustang to have a bigger part, but it was like he faded out...
- Airing on a HDTV Channel right!?

to be clear, this is a remake, whats under speculation is whether or not bones is remaking from episode one, or from when the original fma series diverged from the manga plot. I believe the diversion occured before ed got to central to take his alchemist test. I'm thinking their gonna do an entire remake from the what we've scene from the trailers because it looks like the character models are different, and it would be confusing to new fans of the show if they didn't.
