Stereotyping. Obviously the person at the front line counter doesn't have a very high education level.

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

also blame their own TV ad for influencing the kids,

err... i kinda find it ironic & funny that its their OWN TV ad that has influenced the problem in the first place

Swine Flu Fears Lead to Girl-on-Girl Brawl on D Train

Quote:
"No one got the conductor -- it just seemed like a shouting match -- but as the train pulled into 42nd Street, the coughing woman spit on the other, provoking what sounded like a punch from the reaction of the crowd (we didn't directly see it). Then the cougher attempted to exit the train as the doors were open, but the second woman grabbed her by the back of the hair, violently yanking her down to the floor."

Everyone is so uptight nowadays that any little bothersome thing seems to cause defensiveness. I bet the boys were a bit clamorous and annoying and the girl probably felt threatened because they wouldn't just calm down, make their order and leave.

it can't be helped

maybe she views rappers as those who dominated that genre 10-20 years ago
to those who know the industry inside-out rap was hard core 10-20 years ago, listen to NWA, Eazy E for example
nowdays rap is G-rated, violent themes gave way to celebrating money, hot girls and excess spending

It would be quite fun wouldn't it But at the bottom it says it needs the right posture to remain unharmed, which is lucky.

Scared of flying? Press the fear iButton
Quote:
SYDNEY (Reuters) – People scared of flying can now press a button on their iPhone to help them deal with their panic.
Huh. So if (1) I get a fear attack while, say, the plane is taking off and (2) I take out my iPhone to use this app, I would not get a flight attendant mad at me or risk getting in trouble with the law for "interfering with the proper operations of an aircraft"?

That sounds about as useful as clicking this button to absolve all your sins!

has anyone tried this?

http://gizmodo.com/5396971/the-mindf...-me-a-headache
"Mind control games like Mindflex are poised to be a big seller this holiday season, but is it really worth spending $80 on? It gives me a headache just thinking about it. .."

Quote:
It works. Granted, it takes a little practice to master but, clearly, the Mindflex game does read and respond to your brainwaves/concentration level. I was able to alter the fan speed to raise and lower the tiny foam ball at will, although there were times when the accuracy or response time was less than stellar.

Occasionally, I would relax and clear my mind only to find the LED concentration indicator (and the ball) rise to its highest level. There were also times when I would be concentrating hard, but nothing would happen. Maybe it's the game, maybe it's my awesomely complex brain—who knows.

SC man gets 3 years in prison for sex with a horse
Quote:
CONWAY, S.C. – A South Carolina man caught on video having sex with a horse was sentenced Wednesday to three years in prison after pleading guilty for the second time in two years to abusing the creature.
Is there a horse whisperer in the house? And somehow, I don't think the creator of any of the existing sex offender laws had this crime in mind, or it would not be the second(?!) time the man was caught molesting the poor horse.

Seven-Eleven comes up with its own house wine
Quote:
Dallas-based 7-Eleven's had a few proprietary wines on shelves for some time, among them Sonoma Crest and Thousand Oaks, but today comes word that the convenience store's actually in the private-label business thanks to a partnership with its Japanese sibling, Seven-Eleven Japan. And, whoa, Yosemite Road is quite the bargain: Says the press release, both the Chardonnay and a Cabernet Sauvignon will sell for $3.99 a bottle. Who needs a Trader Joe's, anyway?
Hmm, I might get a bottle from the conbeni. If it is not drinkable, I can always use it as a drain cleaner then.

But competition, it turns out, improves capitalism, even among the members of society least capable of doing math. "The dispensaries have really made my drug dealer step up," my friend told me. Not only is the dealer now charging $100 for a quarter ounce, compared with the $120 he'd charged for decades, but he has also started offering home delivery instead of shady parking-lot meetings. "He got more reliable. He used to be, 'Yeah, I can't do it today. Maybe tomorrow.' Sometimes you'd page him, and he'd never call you back. Now I'm like, 'I'm going to be at my house at 4 p.m.,' and he's like, 'I'll be there.'"

I disagree. I think everything works better when united. Economically, it lessens risks?

A-Rod art hung like a horse
Quote:
The Yankees slugger [A-rod] is reportedly such an egomaniac that he placed paintings of himself depicted as a centaur -- a mythical creature who is half-man, half-horse -- over his bed, an ex-girlfriend said.

"He was so vain," the unidentified A-Rod lover told Us Weekly.

"He had not one but two painted portraits of himself as a centaur."
