Jiart was getting a closer look at his adversary. They had broken their units to a draw, so he had no reason to kill him. He wants to fight again, as it goes with their only schtick. He's obviously one of those trying to find good prey, so he's actually happy about this turn of events.


I think a way to understand the Fail Five dynamic is that Izuru is the better "manager" and dynamic emotional force of the group. This does make him the "leader" but it's a little different than, say, a Sentai group. Asagi is the better tactical squad leader, but he doesn't actually handle the mainline leadership stuff as well. In this dynamic, Izuru makes a very good CEO, with Asagi as a great VP. (If you ever see in business news with them bringing in a new CEO, it normally means a whole management team. Who they bring along are just as important, but it doesn't mean they can handle the CEO position.)

Also, I get the very distinct feeling that Asagi & Kei are our B couple of the series.

While we know they've been genetically engineered for this roles, I think we probably need to assume that they have part Wulgaru DNA. This series is playing with tropes left and right (to the point of the 1-dimensional main 5 being intended to play with and develop them from there), so it's not really a stretch to assume they have some Wulgaru built into them. They might not, but I'd be surprised.

There is zero indication of that. In fact based on all interactions and Rin's comment on the JURIA system awakening instincts with DNA's goal to propagate in last week's episode points to Kei getting attracted to Izuru.

Izuru getting flags such as eating Kei's cakes, protecting her and Kei not willing to abandon him, Kei getting mad at him for watching porn, Kei supporting him as a hero while Rin's internal monologue of DNA's goal.

I just find it difficult to not have sensors that would detect in a 360 degree direction

Agreed. This is Majestic Prince's main edge over the other two mecha shows of the season - Significantly superior mecha action. This latest episode was just a total blast to watch as it was spectacular festival of lights and explosions action-wise.

Asagi pleasantly surprised me this week. I never imagined he would make a good leader given his personality and his "issues", but it turns out he's actually better suited to the role than Izuru.

I agree with SQA here. Izuru is the better "manager" and inspirational leader, but Asagi is the better tactician. Both of them have good leadership abilities, but in different areas. For a battle like the one in this episode, the best approach is to have Izuru engage the enemy's Top Dog while Asagi leads the rest of "The Fail Five" into obliterating as much of the enemy force as possible.

The others performed well this week as well... except Tamaki. It's amazing she hasn't gotten herself killed yet. She even stood right in the middle of Suruga's line of fire.

Tamaki's mecha is basically designed to be a bull in a china shop. It adds even more chaos to the battle-field, which is good if you just have Tamaki ram her way through a bunch of enemies. But in the late stages of a battle, Tamaki can cause more harm than good.

I strongly agree. I see the show leaning towards Izuru/Kei too.

I agree. Also, he's mainly comedic relief. I don't think he's meant to be taken all that seriously. Plus, it's not like he was alone in deciding to reveal the entire battle plan to the entire world. The whole military/government itself was clearly supportive of that.

My issue here is that if he goes, Amane probably goes with him. Unless you have Amane promoted to his position, and have him "retire" or something, lol.

Since this is a fiction, I can hope for him to somehow get blasted by the enemy’s beam in the lower region first and die a slow and painful death due to the loss of blood . Then Amane can replace him .

I don’t think Kei’s PURPLE-2 is built to fight 1-on-1 . Her unit is more like AWACS used for monitoring (with shield and some cannons for self defense).

My only complaint? Reading the subtitles while those GAR scenes are playing made it hard for me to enjoy it to the fullest. Any suggestions? One that comes to mind is waiting till this gets dubbed.

It's been so long since i've seen such an awesome action packed episode. There were no filler moments, no watching people from the sidelines etc, it was just full on action and I loved this episode

I suggest you to watch it twice. The first time to read the subs and understand the story, the second time to just enjoy all the action .

A fighter isn't going to be having propagating feelings. It's "counterproductive" for doing your job as a fighter. Having sex (which is what the raging hormones is all about) and wanting to start a family are 2 different things. Besides, he's already paired with Theoria in the OP.
