I didn't notice it the first time I watched but Mai did specifically refer to her kidneys for the water element and lungs for metal element (I was distracted for "some reason").

I actually enjoyed this episode more on re-watch. A good sign.

It's almost as if they got a little from every recent kyoani show and mixed it all together. I did enjoy the dance and her invocation of the metal element so I'll definitely pick this up

Frankly, I went into this series expecting lighthearted entertainment and amusement and guess what, I get what I wanted in spades . And about the limboobs, even though it defies real-world boob-bouncing-physics (something that I often find annoying in many series), the show deftly use it for the right kind of slapstick comedy that actually managed to crack me up. I give Kyoani a thumb up for that. All in all, the first impression is pretty good. This first ep hit me in all the right places like the first episode of Amaburi so I’ll keep watching this for laughs.

It seems that in this show fanservice needs some explanation/motive to happen. A panty shot would have been an end in itself, so we didn't get any. (If not through MC eyes, gimmick that personally I found artistically brilliant).

So, I'm looking forward to see how creative they will be to keep going with it. Not sure if they will ever top the limbo explanation though.

They may not be able to, but darn it I would have fun watching them try .

I'll give them props that if they are going to have fanservice they want to make sure it has some kind of motive. Nothing wrong with getting a little creative with it. The challenge is just to keep that up.

They should had waited to use that limbo scene when they are going to the beach, iykwim. That would be the fanservice scene of the decade

Looking at the page about chinese medicine, I can't see Mai touching her butt or thighs since the other points are the liver, pancreas and heart(this one will be good to see being animated ).

Unless she can alter the element's effect depending on which movement she's going to use, for now she's using the Yin organs, there still the Yang and Sensory organs together with others movements like Emotion and Mental Quality.

Yuuta's powers is just to seal the things that he draw? Seeing the OP I was thinking that he could give life to his drawings, or I got wrong?

That would have been quite the combination . Though who knows what they'll do if they really get a beach episode.

Yeah, safe to say Mai's focus should remain in the torso region. Is possible they might expand on her abilities since like you showed, they have some options. Maybe that's to be saved for a powerup down the road though.

I think an element of his powers are to seal. No guarantee that we saw the entirety of his abilities in the first episode. The OP did seem to give the impression it was more than that. Though we'll just have to wait and see. Only people who know the source material can say for certain what his abilities are in total.

I guess it makes sense that if they are going to have fan service, they might as well try to get creative and give it a reason for happening.
