Story where people need to be happy

An odd request, but I was wondering if there were any stories which have a setting where people feel like they have to be happy, polite, kind, etc.? Not like they're unable to feel sad or angry or anything, but rather like there's some sort of stigma or fear that makes people consciously suppress such things beyond a mere matter of not believing their anger appropriate. Manga, light novels and anime all fine as long as there's a way to get my hands on them.

Psycho-Pass & Shin Sekai Yori anime should be a good start if you haven't watched them already. For Shin Sekai Yori, there's a source novel.

Like that one Twilight Zone (1961) episode with the kid that would kill all unhappy people? I'm not sure there's quite anything like that as an anime. Maybe Mousou Dairinin. It has a kid on rollerblades with a baseball bat that puts people into the hospital and makes them eerily happy that way.

Haven't watched Psycho Pass yet though I think I will. I didn't go far in Shin Sekai Yori. And I'm definitely going to have to look at Horizon.
