its not surprising that the military would be open n opposition. There are so few options for magicians outsid military service. That is why tatsuya is doing this project. If it succeeds then the military will be weakened as they e is less pressure on magician to join.

It makes sense, it would ease for mass since there's another "obvious" application of magic but in other hand, it will make military's hand tied with magician supply.

May i ask whether the quote was explicitly stated in the novel or it's your implication? I really dislike Igor atm so anything made him suffer is a welcome.

??? Of course it uses Magicians as components, the project would be irrelevant otherwise lol. After all, wasn't the purpose of ESCAPES to give Magicians a place in society that is not related to the military? For them to not be viewed solely as weapons anymore?

So, yes, it's a great plan for as long as it accomplishes that objective.

ESCAPES is no different than Dione, both projects have the same drawbacks (Tatsuya mentioned it last volume and in this volume again).

All it is going to do is turn magicians into batteries on top of being soldiers. Why on top, because both project are going to result in political imbalance which means more wars and conflicts...so more magicians being used as soldiers in the end.

His entire plan should be a total failure but the author is going to make it work by making everyone total and utter idiots, as usual.

Tuman Bomba is difficult to counter due to it's unusual mechanism. The magic sequence replicates itself to cover a large area. Tatsuya couldn't stop it since it just kept multiplying. In this case, since the area is a lot smaller it went off faster.

While I am concerned about the fate of Minami and Minoru, I'm more interested in the context on why on earth is Tomitsuka acting out like Chiaki. Honestly, the acts of some characters in the recent volumes are somewhat contradictory to their personalities that were established in the earlier volumes. Same could be said for Minoru in this volume as well.

Yeah, but I don't see why it's necessary for some of the important characters to have to go immediately blaming and picking fights with Tatsuya instead of just having a proper discussion. Same for Minoru, why couldn't he just have a proper discussion with Tatsuya? I think that would be the more logical choice since Yuuka's family is specialized/experienced in dealing with MCA overload.

Something is fishy. No matter what it was Minami's decision. I am sure it was hard for Tatsuya and miyuki too. Minoru's emotion twist is too strange for normal person. Maybe we are missing something because of lack of information (spoiler)
