And while Malon has a good grasp of her skills I've placed her at a C rank because she isn't good enough to pass the tests. So while her skills are pretty good she... Well lets say lacks confidence so she flunks the tests when she tries. But glad people like Malon. I like her myself... And shes totally based off Malon from LoZ

And lots of groping and sekuhara of every girl nearby; Ivanovich and Chief have more than once had to rescue terrified girls from Psycho & Leena. (Who together are the biggest threats to the Aces and Forwards. )

Well I haven't started it yet, but there IS a teaser in the Fanfiction thread in Satashi-sama's archives.
I might post what I wrote so far but I'm not sure... I have ideas in mind but I don't know if I should put them in chapter 2. Chapter 1 is about 5 pages written so maybe some 1,000 words.

Personality: Malon is a happy person in simple terms. She's a kind person, always helpful and quick to smile. Dislikes fighting and tries to avoid it. Is sensitive about her bust and gets surprisingly angry when teased.
Spells
Falcon's Prey: A homing shot essentially. Is extremely fast and accurate but lacking in power.
Eagle Shot: A fast, unguided arrow. Faster and more powerful then Falcon's Prey.
Raptor's Wing: One of Malon's strongest spells. Launches a extremely fast, homing arrow that packs a punch.
Scattering Sparrow: Argueably Malon's strongest and taxing spell. A single arrow is launched that soon splits into dozens and locks onto targets she designates. Although there are numerous arrows they are thin and weak but are designed to pierce defenses.
Feather Burst: An avoidance spell that transports her a short distance in a burst of feathers.
Raining Hawks: A wide-area attack where arrows are shot upward, split, and rain down in a small area. Incredibly taxing but destructive as the arrows explode on contact but they are unguided.

Rare Skill, "Dragon's Heart": No.47 has, in simple terms, superhuman regenerative powers. Inflicting any serious physical harm is near impossible as wounds heal in seconds after infliction; she can even regrow severed limbs in little as one minute. Her internal organs can also regenerate. However she cannot regenerate if she is decapitated or suffers severe head trauma. She also cannot heal magical injuries.
Genetic trait, "Limited Scale Growth": Has limited control of her dragon scales. Her tail is always covered along with a small area around the area it is attached. No.47 can only grow scales from her bust to groin and not beyond 10% of that area.

All is WIP of course.

No problems on Malon as far as I see. Bumping her up to B rank certainly makes sense. As for No. 47, I'll reserve comments until the full profile is out.

T___T Quite honestly, to me, she's being portrayed as an almost complete loser, both ability-wise and attitude-wise in canon. But I DO NOT intend to suddenly turn her into a winner. I intend to give her development that will give her the attitude to win! I don't want her to win because she's a LOLprotagonist nor because she's my favorite. I'll say it now, and I'll say it a thousand times if need be! In the end of GenerationS, is Hayate a perfectly determined girl that is now set on taking the world; as well as a super-mage that has minimal weaknesses? HELL NO! She'll still be full of regrets, sadness and misgivings. But she'll also have according determination to change herself and those around her! Ability-wise, she's still the nuker! Always have, always will. But there are some things that I can make her go thru to improve herself. Not to become perfect, but to become a better human being! And those include both spiritual/mental/emotional and ability-development within realistic bounds. That's one of the reasons why I like her more than anybody else! Her potential development is full of possibilities!

The idea of her being fine where she is is fine. But being static for life is not a good thing either! Accepting if you have a weakness and doing something about some weaknesses that you can improve upon, for everyone's sakes are two different things! I'm not doing this to make her weaknesses in combat, even though I hate some of them disappear. I'm doing this just for the plain purpose of developing my favorite character naturally as I think she would and could be in the future! I have reasons, both fabricated and canon. I have the means! Thru some OC's and set limitations. I have reasons to. And that should be obvious!

Here's Aurion's relationship data with the Stars Forwards from the revamped profile... This is filled with a little crack and my own little take at the latest chapter of the manga, except that this happens after the final battle...

Subaru – One of the first two Forwards he met during his visit. Aurion knew much of Subaru’s background, but Subaru didn’t even know who he was until after the introduction. She was the one who spearheaded the ‘Aurion Dauer Combat Capability Investigation’ plan that she and the other Forwards formulated (with help from Shari and Alto) after hearing that he actually defeated the Aces before. The process was, suffice to say, full of comedic events (and lots of whining from Teana) that revealed nothing more than the fact that Aurion defeated the Aces when they were 11 and nothing more. Finally manipulating Vivio to confront Aurion about his wins, he simply replied, “I cheated.” before walking away, laughing. Nanoha and Fate cleared up the issue, saying that Aurion was just better than them in terms of experience and skill back then. However, they wouldn’t reveal how they lost despite Subaru’s inquisitions. Unfortunately for the two of them, Hayate and Keroko all too cheerfully revealed how they all lost, showing Nanoha’s and Fate’s most embarrassing losses due to smart and yet completely asinine use of Aurion’s illusions, much to the embarrassment of the leaders of Stars and Lightning Squads. Subaru, despite herself, was sent to the floor laughing over the ‘Large Ferret!’ tactic that Aurion used to defeat the then younger Nanoha, much to the Ace of Aces’ chagrin.

Teana – One of the first two forwards he met during his visit. Out of the four prospective Strikers, she was the only one who knew who Aurion was prior to the visit. Interestingly, Aurion showed more interest in Teana than in any other forwards. This is mainly due to their similarity in styles, illusion magic coupled with range attacks. He actually took her aside for a few minutes and told her that if there is time, he is willing to teach her more about illusion magic and tactics, citing her as one of the more unique young mages he knows since he only knows few other mages who uses illusion magic. Teana was delighted by the offer. She was skeptical about Aurion’s rumored victory over the four Aces, particularly over Keroko, her idol; which Subaru exploited to drag her along the ‘Aurion Dauer Combat Capability Investigation’ plan despite Teana’s reservations. In the end, she actually felt quite proud that Keroko was defeated thru ‘sane’ means, accepting the gap in experience of several years ago. She tried hard not to laugh on how Nanoha and Fate were defeated, but was encouraged by Keroko to not hold back, much to Nanoha's further indignation. Several months after StrikerS, Teana had already learned a few tricks from Aurion, as well as several tactics of applying her illusions properly in her attack plans.

You call this crack? It actually makes sense in a logical way, and not in a convoluted OMGWTFBBQ way

Still, it's nice seeing how the Forwards reacted to their senior's losses against Aurion

Even with your above reasons though, that's no excuse for you escalating the situation further like you've been doing. You took a joke we've throwing around Arcas, and then suddenly it's personal. It's not like we insistently throw it around every 3-4 posts whenever you're here, and you did provide the catalyst for it. Look at Aaron and Aurion - he's taking the Sekhuarion thing quite well ( *runs* ).

I think the one who will really give Gwen trouble (and I would say beat her most of the time) is Mayura, though. Mayura does not rely much on magic, and that's a bad thing for Gwen's strategy. At least Gwen is used to fighting melee types, since she practices daily with Iris, who is a melee speed-type, though that doesnt mean she can beat them easily or in a regular basis. Keeping her distance is key.

Eagle Shot: A fast, unguided arrow. Faster and more powerful then Falcon's Prey.
Raptor's Wing: One of Malon's strongest spells. Launches a extremely fast, homing arrow that packs a punch.
Scattering Sparrow: Argueably Malon's strongest and taxing spell. A single arrow is launched that soon splits into dozens and locks onto targets she designates. Although there are numerous arrows they are thin and weak but are designed to pierce defenses.
Feather Burst: An avoidance spell that transports her a short distance in a burst of feathers.
Raining Hawks: A wide-area attack where arrows are shot upward, split, and rain down in a small area. Incredibly taxing but destructive as the arrows explode on contact but they are unguided.

Rare Skill, "Dragon's Heart": No.47 has, in simple terms, superhuman regenerative powers. Inflicting any serious physical harm is near impossible as wounds heal in seconds after infliction; she can even regrow severed limbs in little as one minute. Her internal organs can also regenerate. However she cannot regenerate if she is decapitated or suffers severe head trauma. She also cannot heal magical injuries.
Genetic trait, "Limited Scale Growth": Has limited control of her dragon scales. Her tail is always covered along with a small area around the area it is attached. No.47 can only grow scales from her bust to groin and not beyond 10% of that area.

On the subject of the Aces: I do agree that Nanoha was made to apear very overpowered. All was well untill the manga chapter that showed her going head-to-head with Signum, which threw balance out the window. T_T In my eyes, melee is still Nanoha's main weaknes (after all, do we ever see her actively engaging in melee combat throughout all 3 seasons? I can remember none.) thus, I'm treating that 'flashback image' as an exagerated fantasy that surfaced in chapter 10 as only one image out of the fight, and not (unlike how I preciously stated) as a confirmation that Nanoha can keep up with Signum in melee.

Fate's main weakness seems to be defense. We hardly ever see her tanking full blows, and if she does its mostly back support.

I agree with those points. I will contend that Nanoha isn't inept at melee, but we've had that discussion many times now.

To compare using Star Wars of all things: Hayate is the B-Wing, Nanoha is the X-Wing, and Fate is the A-Wing.

Operation Principles of the RAF:
As stated before, each RAF squad is made up of four to seven mages of differing styles. Each squad also has their own long-range patrol ship; these differ according to the needs and size of the unit. RAF squads work on a 9:3 yearly basis – they spend nine months out on the frontier, and then three months back at the Core Worlds serving with the rest of the Bureau. EPILOGUE

It was a cold and snowy day. There was a strange, and yet benevolent, sense of serenity that was enveloping the mausoleum complex. Thick piles of snows were gradually building up, covering most of the land in white, cold blanket that no one wanted to cover their body and soul with. Ravens could be seen perching upon branches of leafless trees, observing the area as if they were the guardians of the deceased.

And he was there, alone, standing in front of the stone slab. He did not bulge, having been stationary for the past one hour, and as he looked down at the plaque there was a low-sounding sigh coming out of his lips.

“…”

He knelt into the snowy ground. Slowly he put the flowers onto the stone slab, swiping some of the snows off with his gloved hands. A faint grin was carved upon his face as he glanced into the name of the deceased, and as softly as he could he traced his finger along the name.

“Looks like this will be my final visit…” He put a locket next to the flowers and positioned it so it stayed aligned with the slab. He, then, turned to another tomb next to it and put what looked like a 50-calibre bullet on the slab. He stood up and looked down at both the tombs.

“Farewell, Yuu, Grandpa Lancelot…” he whispered. “And I’m sorry…”

He turned around and found himself staring into a pair of eyes he had known for very long. He was surprised, as so did the person with the eyeglasses.

Finally, after they were speechless for so long, the spectacled person opened her mouth.

“It’s… been a long time, Hikki…” half-heartedly Claes spoke.

“You surprised me,” he uttered. “What brought you here?”

“I… I mean… we have unfinished errands at Kiev to settle first before we go back to Italy,” she replied. “You’ve… changed since we last met.”

He could only nod. “A lot, to be straight.” He noticed the same flowers she was carrying. “You don’t have to tell me. Go on. I’ll wait here.”

“Thanks.” She approached the gravestones and put the flowers between them, resting the bouquet firmly on the snow. He stood next to her and watched as she murmured something in low breath.

“How are things at your side?”

“Nothing much had changed since,” Claes uttered. “Everyone’s busy with their own works. We still have plans for our summer picnic, though. When things have gone back to normal, this year we’re going to Switzerland.”

“Good for you,” he answered.

“How about you?” Claes asked.

“Me?” He threw his sight into the snowy sky. “You won’t believe what had happened for the past three months. But if I had to tell you something, I just got a new job.”

“I’m glad to hear that,” Claes replied.

Later, as the former friends walked down the path that led to the gate, Claes explained how the Bougainvillea Brigade had undergone internal restructuring following his resignation, and how the Ukrainian special operation unit was re-established as a youth training organization. “No longer we have to conceal our presence behind the black curtain and fear our existence will be forgotten, Madam Natalya said to us,” she spoke. “She felt it was time to move forward and embrace the future instead of being tied to the past.”

“Sounds like something I’d tell my friends,” he shrugged.

“So what are you going to do after this?” Claes asked.

“I’ll meet my family; been missing them very much. Wonder how they’re doing here,” he answered. There was a moment of silence as he looked back into the sky and said “strange, isn’t it?”

“Excuse me?”

He halted. Kneeling down to take a pile of snow in his hand, he clenched it and let it melt. “Sometimes ago, we were fighting as an enemy determined to finish off each other. Now, we’re here, reunited as two friends who had been separated for a very long time. Don’t you think it’s strange, when both of us never bear grudge against each other?”

“I never look at you as my enemy,” she said and put her hand on his shoulder as a sign of assurance. “Even when I… had to do it, I just wanted to see you as a friend in need.”

“You weren’t angry at me, were you?”

She merely smiled. “I will never be angry at you for the rest of my life, Hikki,” she answered. “I have long forgiven you, in fact.”

He could only smile as he held the hand in return. “Thanks, Claes. I really appreciate your sincerity,” he said. “Say, I remembered a café we used to hang around. What do you say if we go there and have quick afternoon tea?”

“WAII!!!!”

His attention was disturbed when a pair of arms seized his neck, followed by a rough tackle that pinned him into the snow. “What the hell?!” he barked and gasped when Iriya choked him.

“You’re back!!” the energetic girl exclaimed and tightened her arms. “You didn’t tell me you’d come by!!”

“But I’m on a quick visit!” he cried out.

“Quick visit or not, you aren’t going anywhere else until I say so,” Iriya retorted, even as all the members of the Bougainvillea Brigade and the Section Two were coming to welcome his return. “Where you were planning to go? I know! It’s the Cherry Blossom Café, right? Come on, everyone! Let’s have a welcome party to our sibling in soul!”

“Let go off me first, Iriya-nee!” Hikki screamed.

“Welcome back, Hikki,” Triela greeted with a smile (standing around her, Petrushka, Beatrice, Luke, Rico and Henrietta smiled). The ‘siblings in soul’ also smiled, with Mariel and Elsa the happiest among the children.

“So, Iriya, what’s the plan?” Triela asked.

“The plan is to bash our sibling in soul as much as we want to until we drop!” happily Iriya declared and proceeded to shove his face into the snow. He quickly fled his former adoptive sister’s armlock and tossed snowballs at the young woman. “That is not fair!!”

“Go ahead. Make my day,” he said and flung more snowballs at Iriya; she dodged, and the snowballs hot Triela. The annoyed pigtailed girl cried foul at him and counterattacked with snowball barrage; one of the projectiles hit Claes, and the surprised spectacled girl was caught by the ex-gunslinger boy as she fell onto the ground. The girls cooed at the suddenly romantic scene and began rooting for the unlikely couple.

“Hey! He gets to take Claes-chan in his arms while I don’t? This is blasphemy!” Iriya growled and threw as much snowballs at the boy as she could. Both he and Claes were hit, and their reaction was to return fire at the ‘sister in soul’. Soon all of them were caught in a free-for-all snowball fight, as each of them tried outsmarting each other.

(Not far from the cemetery, the Aces quartet were just watching at the Gale Whistler, not wanting to disturb his reunion with his ‘siblings in soul’. “That looks like fun, though,” Fate commented, “tossing and dodging flying snowballs.”

“Nah, just let him have the fun,” Nanoha said. “We’re just accompanying him here, right?”

“Come on, guys!” Hayate exclaimed and seized Keroko’s arms. “I just saw a Lolita shop at downtown. Who’s coming with me?”)

Three months had passed. Now he was a part of the small but significant community of Time-Space Administrative Bureau, a Tactical Instructor for the bureau’s new generation of mages and knights.

He threw his sight over the horizon The glorious ray of the morning sun was enveloping the empty boot camp as he came into the place. Alone as he had always been, he was setting up his Devices for today’s lesson. “Widuri, let’s go.”

“(Yes, Hikki-sama. Set Up.)”

It took him seconds, and he was switching into his Barrier Jacket, and it was coincidentally timed with his students’ arrival. His reaction was a faked disappointment at their “lack of time awareness”. “All of you are late! Give me some twenty now!” he barked.

“Sensei! But we just arrived a minute ago!” one of the students protested.

“No buts!” he replied and pointed to the student’s face. “Who do you think you are? You are the new generation of pioneering warriors! Reluctance in accepting your new destiny only results in despair and the loss of hope for the future! Give me seven laps and don’t stop until you’re done!”

Later, as the disgruntled students began their running course around the boot camp, Nanoha arrived with Fate, Hayate and Keroko, and the four of them could only laugh at his alleged strictness towards his students. “Where did you learn to be that strict?” Nanoha asked.

The Gale Whistler turned to the quartet. “Oh, it’s you. Good morning, ladies,” he spoke.

“Don’t ladies in front of us, you know,” Hayate reminded and wagged a finger at him.

“Hello? Excuse me, Ms. Hayate,” he replied. “Are you suggesting me not to go formal with everyone of you?”

Hayate batted an eyebrow. “Oh, really? Then explain what’s with that reaction when Nanoha gave you that chocolate on Valentine’s Day,” she suggested (Nanoha blushed at the mention, and frantically begged Hayate to stop revealing the story but was ignored in the process). “Don’t say that the whole bureau didn’t know what you were doing.”

“Wha-what the hell was that for?!” he screamed. “I regarded that as a present, nothing more and nothing less!”

“No!” along came Widuri’s voice as she materialized from thin air and seized his arm. “If anything, I shall be the first to give him presents!”

“Then explain why you were very, VERY reluctant to proceed when I told you to do so,” Hayate insisted, shaking her head in disbelief. “I can’t believe it. You’re his Servant, and yet you’re not doing what a Servant should do.”

“W-what was that supposed to mean, Hayate-sama!?” Widuri replied in horror.

Again Hayate wagged her finger. “Tsk, tsk, tsk. Denial Widuri is denial. And the same goes to her Goshujin-sama,” she said and threw a wink to the horrified Gale Whistler. “What do you guys say if we hold a Hikki’s Week next Saturday?”

“Hayate-chan, stop!” Nanoha pleaded. “He’s still new! There’s no reason to… bully him!” (Fate and Keroko nodded to agree). “Besides he’s not someone we don’t know. He was about to answer when his students called him aloud from the track. He turned at his students to see them collapsing at the track after finishing the lap. “We’re done! Now what?” they asked.

“Lucky for you not to have someone else as your instructor,” he said as he approached the young people with Widuri. “You’re done? Good. Take five, then we’ll start our day. Okay?”

Nanoha, Fate, Hayate and Keroko watched in interest. A wide smile was carved upon their face at a new thought that was popping inside his head. “He didn’t answer that question, Nanoha-chan,” Fate complained.

“It doesn’t matter,” Nanoha replied and laughed when he showed his antics as a Tactical Instructor. “I’m sure he’s happy living with us.”

“True, true,” Keroko agreed. “Though I’m wondering if he can still cope with his twisted past.”

“He will,” Nanoha answered. “He will.”

“All these talks are making me itchy for action. Come on! Who wants to join Hikki?” Hayate suggested and joined up with the new TSAB officer. Fate and Keroko followed her lead, leaving Nanoha behind with Raising Heart hanging over her neck.

She giggled. “I think he needs every bit of our help,” she said and clenched the Device core. “Raising Heart, ikuyo.”
