I see nothing wrong with Hayate getting into the fray, she hasn't even had a proper fight ever in the series. I just kind of want something actually interesting to arise in Force ...

It`s the fact that Hayate`s using the Fortress too that I find rather boring.
Yet, Tsuzuki is not lacking imagination with the dividers.

But seriously, I`m not expecting much simply because they can`t have Hayate do better than Nanoha with the Fortress, can they now ?

Realistically, Hayate should get binders to improve her AMBAC before worrying about other things...
Hayate can top Nanoha by using a nuclear bazooka, Moonlight Butterfly, Ide Cannon, Wings of Light, Satellite Cannon, or to be a little modest, METEOR unit/Orchis unit. Given the huge variety of choices out there for MS loadout, it does seem a bit underwhelming to stick with Fortress, doesn't it?

The Fortress equipment is more than just flying shields. It also contains its own flight unit capable of maintaining flight in Zero Effect zones where magic can't work. You can see it attached to her back and to her hips in the image.

To be fair Chirico did get the suped up Rabidly Dog for the last 3 episodes. Still, in the TV series alone he went through 23 ATs (I kept track).

No. You clearly have no idea why Destiny is hated so much.

Anyways, it looks like people don't understand the point of these new weapons. Of course they're the same/generic/whatever. They are designed to be used by common soldiers. If they were super customized weapons meant only for the Aces, they'd be worthless for the army as a whole.

And even then, that was only a slightly different-looking blue Scopedog. Statistically it was better, but it didn't have anything too far above common ATs at the time - it even eventually gets blown up by ordinary grunts.

I loved how in the first part of Z2 his last upgrade was just a black Scopedog, and it could regularly do more damage than any unique robots.

And ended up dampening the heroes's individual talents as a consequence xDU

Elites should get weapons tuned to fit their strenghts and cover their weknesses instead of them being the ones in the need to get adapted to the weapon. At lest they should get custom upgraded versions of the AEC's and not mass production models that break constantly and do a semi-decent job against their intended targets.

I think you're not giving them enough credit. If they need to they can find new strengths here. Sometimes soldiers need to do that.

But before the company can customize the AEC equipment, wouldn't they need data from the mass produced unit to optimize it to the wielder's need?
I mean, sure, there are generics models focused on one thing, but the the elites took it even further than that. Like say, Fate and SIgnum. The former relies on speed more while the latter focus on strength.

I'd agree with you but these weapons are in the testing phases. Data needs to be collected and refined before they're passed off to the regular troops. As combat instructors, Nanoha and Vita at least have this in their job description.

For a similar situation, look at Muv Luv Alternative Total Eclipse. Yuuya keeps complaining about how 'shitty' Japanese TSFs are compared to American ones. He doesn't want to pilot a Japanese TSF but the whole bloody point of the project he's a test pilot for is to develop a better TSF for the Japanese to use.

Yeah, nah.
Come on, you should know Votoms is a different kettle of fish from Gundam and its ilk that Nanoha draw from.

I could see Curren totally trashing trough that thing xD
How am I gonna stop some big mean motherhubbard from tearing me a structurally superfluous new behind?

The answer? Use a Fortress.

And if that don't work?

Use more Fortress.

So I assume they're fighting the Hucks again - this is the second half of 25, right?

Unlimited Fortress Works, after that the gov't sinks into debt xD

Reason: too expensive to replace and it gets destroyed like tissue paper.

That wasn't neither a victory nor major xDU

Nothing relevant was accomplished through that particular battle and Signum failed to completely defeat Cypha anyway xDU

...oh, and Signum got her new equipement trashed anyway while Cypha just lost an easily replaceable arm xD

IRL mass produced work better than prototype since the bugs were sorted during the test phase.
