I know she says at the start they're a family of 4 but she sure talks about her dad a lot,never about her mom.
And (in anime at least) I'm not used to the dad being the one doing the cooking.
Makes me think something's up with the mom.

Its funny that basing on just the CMs and pictures this seems to be a light-hearted anime but the staff just screams guro blood spatter. I expect to see at least a couple of head decapitations here.

Because it was originally nicknamed as "Chidamari Sketch" due to Ume Aoki's (Hidamari Sketch) character design who run in Togainu no Chi's timeslot, imagine that they will have at least some guro stuff.

This is why the Magical Girl Genre is semi-dead. Either derailed to figurative mecha shoujo or something like this. The only non franchised magical girl so far was Shugo Chara which was an traditional magical girl

Madoka Magica is pretty much gonna be seemingly a magical girl first and degrade to horror later.

Cerebus Syndrome is one of my favorite tropes, so to me that's no problem at all. Madoka Magika's one of my most anticipated shows for the new season, I've always enjoyed stories that start off bright and get darker as they go along.

Even if it would eventually go dark the aura Madoka is realising isn't a bit of darkness on it ( -_-) a really messed up cast that's worth waiting and hype with (-_- )b

Meh I'm not too fond of that type of story, especially when you have a cast that looks like they wouldn't harm a fly.
I prefer knowing or the story setting up the horror from the get go, not little hints here and there and then bam. Doesn't quite work for me that way.
But mostly I can't really take cute characters doing horror seriously, altho I can understand people will find it appealing.

Still I'll be watching this anyway.

This isn't going to be Higurashi; I can see most of the horror coming from the monsters that the girls will inevitably be fighting against.

lol yea I thinking it that won't happen here, just stating something I don't like but if by chance it was to happen then I'd say they wasted my time.

I had thought that if it was horror + magical girl then it would most likely come from the monsters but then that always goes to 1 place and it's a place I would rather they not go.

Kaname Junko:

So she is most likely talking a lot more about her dad because she spend majority of her time (outside of school) with him. Since the mom is a ''Career woman'' it makes since she'd bond more with her father.
