Satou Junichi, Kawamori Shouji........ and Okada Mari. Whyyyyyyyy.
Of course I'll try it, but... damn. :/ Hey, Aquarion was perfectly fine. Aquarion EVOL on the other hand made me extremely wary of everything that Okada Mari is involved with. And Nobunaga the Fool is pretty fun so far. |

Mari Okada doing another Spring 2011 where she's writing multiple anime originals in a season. This is the third series series she's doing for Satelight, she or the studio itself must really like her.
Too bad that I think the duo's shows are either bad or of the so bad it's good type (Aquarion EVOL and AKB0048 lulz). However, Sato is the director for this one... which leaves it with large amounts of ??. It could be a trainwreck or a ... stylish trainwreck |

In any case this isn't the first time Okada is working with Sato. They also worked together for Amazing Twins and so far...well the first episode was pretty average really...

I wasn't really interested in staff drama when I watched Aquarion.
But then dat EVOl ending enlightened me. Hopefully this series wouldn't be as chaotic as Za Fooru. But who the heck am I kidding?

Looks very nice. As far I read the comments, I think The Fool wasn't awful, just very mediocre and me being a sucker for Warring States stuff made me care a bit. I need to see the character designs and story before growing into the universe of this upcoming projects though, it looks like 2014 is the mecha turn for me.

Bah, philistines who don't appreciate the awesomeness that is the original Aquarion! :P (The TV series, that is. The OVAs are bleh.) EVOL was fun for what it was, but the overall writing and character handling were downright atrocious, no thanks to Okada Mari. And guys, The Fool is great fun. The trick is to turn off your brain wile watching. xD
Anyway, Kawamori is only responsible for the mech designs in THIS show, so the relative merits of his shows are pretty much irrelevant here. |

I hope this won't end up to be similar with NagiAsu/Aquarion. I trust Okada to do something different in this one. Same with kawamori to do better mech designs. Happy that Sato is directing. Hopefully this is more polished that nobunaga the foool.
