I'll see if I can scan a couple of sample shots without damaging the book.... the reason I've never really gotten into scanlation is that you have to destroy the book to scan it properly. My previous projects were the yotsubato series and the raki*suta manga but I tended to jump around and have never really finished an entire book. My lame excuse is that when a piece of dialog got a bit hard - I'd jump to another chapter. I'm pretty bad about actually finishing projects.

Just wondering ... has the author for the manga given any indication as to what will happen to Konata's generation when they finally graduate from high school? Will the manga continue following them into their college (if they even attend) days, or will they simply be phased out/moved out of the limelight?

They haven't graduated? Are you sure? I've seen a few panels showing them holding diplomas and looking emotional. If not, at what point are they?
And by focusing more on Yutaka's class, do you mean they're focusing on them more than Konata's class, or just more than they used to? |

I don't know...Yoshimizu can easily write Lucky*Star into a corner if the Konata group was let go. Konata was supposed to be the selling point, anyhow. |

What Burubu... um, Bur... yeah, what he said
They were at the ceremonies they have at the end of each year. The big change has been Yukata and her classmates added to the mix. It took some of the "be funny" pressure off of the older girls.

You know, with the OVA airing and all, I was thinking. You think that signifies that the girls have graduated or not?
There's signs showing that they have consider that the 24th episode ended with Cultural Festival. Yet in the OVA, they mention the use of Golden Week which is during the beginning of school. Are they just really connected with Kuroi-sensei or what? And may this mean more MMORPG scenes? :P |

Keep in mind that Lucky Star got (gets, for that matter) a lot of criticism for being "a show about nothing". I've heard many people who've watched the first episode and were turned off by the six-minute discussion of choco-cornets and other assorted food items. The pacing needed to change somewhat, and one of the few things you can do to affect that in mid-production is to replace the director.
To hear tell, that same director is now doing an excellent job on Kannagi, though I haven't seen any of it myself. So it might just be a failing of sticking too close to the original material, rather than a demonstration of ineptitude... Or, alternately, Yamamoto learned something from getting the boot and came back stronger. Dunno, that's more "inside baseball" than I can talk about. Just finished the script for ep 24... ;p |
