Since when did Suzumiya Haruhi rerun turned into season 2? They never confirm it in the first place.

I can't say I've hated any of these episodes, each one has had some scene that has made me laugh, for this episode I found Kyon's "Eweweh!" as he answered into the phone, hilarious.

I am certain the next episode WILL be the last.

My friend James and I have been hypothesizing that Endless Eights will end on the eighth episode of the arc, which is the ninth episode of the season.

We've had 8 endless episodes and seeing as the next episode will be on or around the 8th of August I think that is perfect date to end this. If it doesn't...then...it might aswell carry on for the rest of the season.

They had Haruhi lose at something...

Haruhi clearly states that Yuki is beating her at some sort of swimming contest. Repeatedly beating her (as Haruhi calls for rematches).

I can't recall Haruhi ever losing at anything.

Granted, this is just some inconsequential swimming contest, but still, Haruhi is actually getting beat at something.

Daring! Unprecedented! Possibly changes my very outlook on Haruhi's character.

And to think that they slip this into an Endless Eight episode... wow.

Brilliant move for this particular episode. It made me forget, for awhile, about how awful this arc is.

Haruhi losing the swimming race is from the short story. They weren't being daring so much as being less unfaithful to the source material. But who knows, maybe it's a sign their going to do the most faithful thing possible by ending E8 in the next episode.

If you watch the previous episodes again, you can see that Yuki touches the wall of the pool followed by Haruhi many times... it's that they decided to explain it this time.

I don't get why you guys think the new eps aren't worth watching... the fun is in finding the subtle differences, variety in presentation.

That makes it really easy to understand why others might not want to watch it. I mean, I'm watching it because a) new Haruhi, b) I approach each episode as if it were the 'first' time I was watching E8 again, and c) AMV materialz. But I can understand not wanted to slog through the same story again... and again... and again...

I still think you guys are missing out though. But then, I have a lot of spare time.
