The overpowered MC was quite entertaining. His rock-throwing was more like missile-throwing. I liked the part where the three of them restrained the bunny girl with a combination attack - great team synergy right off.

The only thing I didn't quite feel was right for this episode was that the pacing was a little on the fast side for me, but I guess they needed to introduce whoever was important and get the idea across so that it could settle into a more steady pace later on.

It's good enough to catch my eye though (plus I quite like Diomedea's works), so I'll give this a follow.

I was gonna say that the mere fact the lead male character in an anime of this sort takes up half the page of a magazine illustration is amazing, let alone the fact he's the main focus, but I suppose despite the male/female ratio this isn't a harem series like Daimou, Hagure Yuusha or High School DxD where they have leads with more presence than living furniture but are given nearly zero fucks when it comes to official anime illustrations.

MAL says it's 10 eps and going by the fact the official lists only 5 volumes, it looks to be true. Well, if you count the OVA bundled with the novel then it's 11.

ANN claims they have 12 episode titles for it. Also I cannot think of the last time I've even heard of a 10 episode anime.

Spoiler for Episode 2:

A mysterious young man from the previous episode talks to the newly-recruited No Name members about games and stuff, while the Black Rabbit explains to Izayoi about the origins behind the No Name community. Meanwhile, the two partners as well the rest of the group are involved in a reality marble summoned by White Demon, who's working as a disciplinary to Black Rabbit. Yo is seriously facing a challenge towards the giant bird and fortunately succeed the mission without a doubt. After the match, the group is finally embarked on a mysterious world. Frankly, the episode ends with the appearance of a mysterious vampire. I've been enjoying a lot more than before thanks to a lot of fun and I have a stong feeling that Izayoi knowledge about almost everything, which is something unexpectedly interesting. It's nice to see the opening theme being full of lyrics and the ending theme is definitively there and I like it. It seems that given the title, the next episode will most likely focuses around hot springs, which means I'll expect a lot of fanservice and more absurd humor !

The Misfit Games 02 - Flight of the Hippogriff

I'm pretty sure that was Elfman in the episode. His name may have been different, but Hiroki Yasumoto was more or less reprising his role here, just with a little more evil. (On that note, Shirayasha has a bit of Kuroko in her.)

Still trying to work out how I feel about this series. The world mechanics are interesting (like last week, another exposition heavy episode), and I do like that the group knows their specialties enough that this was clearly You's chance to shine with Buckbeak there. I'm curious as to what the differences in their parallel worlds are. I can assume Izayoi's was probably most like modern day Japan, with the girls having some slight variations. You's test of endurance was pretty exciting to watch. As of now, Izayoi's swinging between apathetic and a little too into it - again, all I'm asking for is some limits on his ability. But it's only episode two out of ten, I'm not going to jump the gun just yet.

The ending is cute and funny. Both this and GJ Bu did a nice job with their SD dance sequences. Come on, Black Rabbit! I'm standing right beside you! Dance, dance your heart out!
