Indeed. Makarov's only 80-something years old, and FT Zero is about the guy who becomes his dad.

Prehito was pretty much immortal with the grimoire heart and Warrod is old like the trees he likes...he could be a bit older, but I don't think it matters much.

And Mavis is reportedly dead, with her body sealed in some sort of crystal, and we haven't seen any sign of Yuri or Zera in the present. So only two are confirmed to have survived to the present day(well, one seeing as Hades died at the end of the Tenrou Island arc), and they're just pushing the limits of natural human lifespan with some obvious possible sources of longevity. The other three are unmentioned, or specifically said to be dead.

Precht is such a misunderstood character...

Well I kinda liked the episode. We got some chemistry between him and Mavis. Speaking of whom, she figured out that the guys at the bar were hiding something. Can't trick Mavis with her curious mind!

I look forward to the next episode.

I wasn't sure but now I'm positive. The O in Fairy Tail Zero at the episode title screen (The bigger one in the background) is slowly fading. (This also happened in each chapter in the manga) and that's all I'll say on that matter.

Incidentally the filler material in the episode (Most of the first half) was great.

Yes, I too was wondering if the anime would get in on that disappearing "O".

Looks like we have a firm idea of what the filler for next week's episode will be. But assuming the week after that is also a single chapter, it makes me wonder how they'll cover it. I do have an idea, though...

Finally on dry land.
Mavis enchanted by all the new things..
Precht is not a people person.
Him trying to help had the opposite effect.
Mavis is very perceptive but doesn't get that it's sometimes dangerous.
She can handle herself well.
Her first display of magic was just WOW!!
Even Precht was impressed.

Episode 95:

So we got a storytelling about the guys and their little adventure. Yuri just have to touch everything that he isn't suppose to ...LOL

Zera and Mavis still shares a strong friendship this episode as expected. Cute. I expect plot to develop a bit more now with that cliffhanger. They did a good job with the music imo this episode as it captured the magic and mood of the atmospheric setting in particular the lake scene.

What a silly way to censor the fact that Mavis and Zera were naked in that lake. Just slap swimsuits on them for no reason.

Anyway, I was wondering how they were going to extend the next chapter into an episode and I like what I see.

Zera sure doesn't like the outdoors.
That's just goes to show how spoiled she was..
Those guys can be pretty fickle too.
Yuri is the reckless one, Precht the careful one & Warrod somewhere in between.
Very nice episode ^^

Never underestimate Mavis' illusion magic!

Ah, this week's episode made me hate the Blue Skull Guild even more. Those guys just have no mercy...

So, not only do we get a solid new episode today, but an English dub of FT Zero's first episode to boot. What a day to be a Fairy Tail fan. Imagine if the dub continued for the whole anime from now on and not just FT Zero.

They all use "magic bullet", and they all wield those staves. Are they all
magicians? Or are they all (except for the boss) just ordinary thugs with
mass-produced magic staff-weapons?

It was pretty nice seeing a reference to the Fairy Tail Vacation House. It's been quite a while since we've last seen it in the regular show

It's really hard seeing the state of Magnolia back when Mavis first got there. Really sets up those Blue Skull thugs as satisfying to take down. Also we should get Zeref next week hum?

And is that Mavis?

A little confused by A-1 for the bathing scene with Mavis and Zera. They were naked in the manga, but wearing swimsuits in the anime, but naked in the OP. Odd...

Maybe it was a last-minute decision after they thought about it a bit more?

If that's the case, then it's very likely it will be uncut on the DVD, as I've found many of the more violent and risque anime scenes to be in the A-1/Bridge version. Granted I was pretty uncomfortable with the original NSFW scene, so I don't take as much issue with the change as other people, but it will be what it will be.

They probably designed the opening before it was time to animate that scene. Then once they went to animate it, they realized they'd either have to use ridiculous amounts of censorship, or alter the scene to give them swimsuits and the freedom to do whatever shot they wanted.

I doubt it'll be uncut on the DVD. That'd be a heck of a lot of reanimating to do given that they had the swimsuits on all the way back at the campfire. Plus simply removing the swimsuits would result in a bunch of uncensored breast shots. Even with barbie doll nudity, I doubt they'd find that acceptable for the scene.
