Yep, i completely agree with what the guy in the video said. I almost dropped this in the beggining. Asta's voice and constant screams together with the early filler slice of boring episodes killed the show. However, around episode 15 with the ice dude arc, this starts to get fun and around episode 40 it's already one of the most entertaining shonens ever. But yeah, it's 2018. If the anime only gets good after 15 episodes it's indeed a death sentence. Luckily, our japanese friends were patient and gave this an opportunity to shine and now we have the second season without even going to hiatus.

It would make sense that Asta's voice would get better. As the series goes forward, Asta gains more confidence and doesn't need to shout to get people's attention or feel that he has to get people's attention to have worth.

Something I just noticed during the Water Temple arc. When Noelle is training on the beach and has a flashback where Captain Yami is asking her to join the Black Bulls...she's already wearing her Black Bulls robes! This was before she was supposed to join the team, but they used her model with the robes on anyway.
I'm glad we are getting this story now since beforehand there was no way to read the light novels in English. Last edited by LKK; 2018-10-25 at 09:31. Reason: Posts merged. Don't post multiple times in a row. Use the Edit button instead. |

I really enjoyed that last scene, where the Black Bulls united to come to the aid of Finral. It was a very powerful sentiment how close these characters have become with one another. I'm also very happy with Asta's tone and determination in that scene. It is very much in stark contrast to his normally happy go lucky attitude.
Besides the bad animation that is come to be expected by Studio Pierrot, this story is solid and entertaining. I'm guessing the only reason why the series has the budget for this is because they must be paying Studio Pierrot dirt cheap.

For episode 82, I can't tell if I should be mad that they threw away a week with retarded filler or let it go because they decided to at least do something instead of a flashback episode.
...This is why you make sure not all of your staff leaves for holiday at the same time.

It's funny how the Black Bulls have hidden unknown members that appear all of a sudden. First it was Zora, and now, a new mysterious white haired guy. Speaking of which, there are a lot of white haired characters in this series, which makes me wonder if they are related to the Midnight Suns or fairies.
Also, because Ace of Diamonds has returned, I finally noticed the connection between the characters of Asta and Yuno with Sawamura and Furuya. One is loud, talkative and excited, while the other is "cool" and a jerk with few words.

This is actually getting really good.
And there was quite a shocker this episode. Since Yuno is an orphan, it becomes very suspicious with all the circumstances going on. At the end there, Yuno transformed into one of those elf-like people. I'm wondering, is he, therefore, possibly Licht's son? They do keep on making a point that his wife was pregnant. Also, it looks like Asta's 3rd sword is here. Or... hmm... since the swords all react to Asta, is he Licht's son? He does have silver hair as well.

Yeah, I've been thinking for a while that Yuno might be one of those elf people, and after this episode, I was reminded of a certain movie called Twins with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Danny DeVito, for anyone who's familiar with that movie you'll probably see where I'm going with this. It would be interesting if we had a Twins situation on our hands. It's been a while since the first few episodes so I could be miss-remembering, but weren't Asta and Yuno left at the orphanage at the same time? What if Yuno, and Asta are fraternal twins where Yuno got all of the power, and Asta is just the left overs. It would explain why Yuno has so much magical power and is beloved by spirits, and Asta has absolutely none. Also, as you mentioned Asta kind of resembles, superficially Licht, and his wife, and the other elf people.

I think it's been hinted for awhile, but it looks like from the flashbacks and the intros, the first Wizard King is the one that befriended the elves. He uses light magic, too.
I still have my concerns that he was the one that actually killed the elves, since we never saw him in the flashback during the attack. Also, there is the giant demon skull that the 1st Wizard King defeated in legend, while it was terrorizing the nation. Why did the Elf resurrection need to be there out of all places? I hope they won't pull it off by saying that the Wizard King was fighting the giant demon, and his attack accidentally took out the whole Elf race. He killed his sister, too, if that was the case. I still don't think he did it, though. The elves themselves have a guy who can copy magic, so anything is possible in this world. Oh, and I don't think Asta is Licht's reincarnation, even if they repeat the same things, because he didn't transform during the resurrection. I'm still going with him being Licht's child, who was half human and half elf.

Black Clover's 100th episode was so epic. I reminds how in stark contrast Naruto's 100th episode was (the opposite of epic). This arc really has been amazing, and I don't know how the kingdom will recover from this.
