For some reason, last night's discussion on the feasibility of Ichika and his harem into a normal school piqeud my interst in something. What if the setting weren't ISA?
^ I think we were talking about a timeline without the IS, we got the idea from a picture of Houki in a regular school uniform visiting Charlotte in a sick-bed.
Not sure if I should post the supposedly next-gen Dunois IS specs here... It might terrify some.
Nevermind, I'll post it here anyways
Spoiler for Spec:
= Mirage =
The Mirage is a modular, multirole Infinite Stratos unit. It is an exclusively prototype IS built by France’s Dunois Corporation in a bid to develop a next-generation IS unit to replace the popular but aging Rafale series by emphasizing on combat adaptability. The Mirage is composed of a central armor frame with hard points for three specialized Adapt Modules which are interchangeable to fit various combat situations.
The Mirage is powered by an IS Core Unit, original IS Cores that were created by Tabane Shinonono. Having only one Mirage unit built so far, the IS Core has its limiters removed, allowing the unit to be test-piloted to its fullest potential akin to that of a Personal IS.
As with any other IS units, the IS Core powers just about everything for the Mirage.
In default configuration, the Mirage IS sports basic, solid-based weaponry:
- Birthday Bash, a double-barrel combat shotgun with a large ammo clip of sixteen rounds, eight per barrel. It can also switch between two spread modes: Narrow and Wide.
- Nimbus, an upgraded Vent assault rifle. Features improved power per shot along with a dual-mode firing system: Rapid Fire and Hi-Velocity, which allows the Nimbus to be used as a sniper rifle.
- Cyclone, P90-shaped personal defense weapon(PDW). Fires .7 caliber bullets with intense firing rate, allowing it to deliver more damage compared to its predecessor weapon, the Garm.
- Akriloth Fang, combat short sword for close-quarters-combat(CQC).
The Mirage can swap between three different specialized equipment sets classified as Adapt Modules:
- Adapt Wave, the heavy-assault spec set. The Wave set consists of:
= Exusia, a high-powered positron discharger attached to twin capacitor units at the back of the Mirage.
= Veriton, a railgun mounted over the Mirage’s left shoulder. Features firing power with almost rivals that of the Schwarzer Regen’s Railgun.
= Twin dual-barrel repeaters, one mounted on each of the Mirage’s forearm, for close-combat use.
- Adapt Double, the hi-mobility spec set. The Double set consists of:
= Duplicates of the Cyclone PDW, Nimbus assault rifle and Birthday Bash combat shotgun.
= Additional variable thruster units mounted onto various parts of the Mirage, giving it above-average speed and mobility.
- Adapt Vendetta, the CQC spec set. The Vendetta set consists of:
= Zonbolt, a long, solid broadsword mounted onto a partial sheath at the back of the Mirage. The blade can be encased in crystallized energy barrier for anti-barrier performance.
= Trav, twin katars, one mounted onto each of the Mirage’s forearms. Like the Zonbolt, the Trav katars can also encase their solid blades with concentrated energy for anti-barrier attacks.
= Diego, twin energy sabers mounted on sheaths at both sides of the Mirage’s waist.
The Mirage’s Closed Form takes the shape of a wristband.
Now... onto the terrifying part.
Spoiler for Over:
Other features:
- Overed System, a rare “glitch” in the Adapt Module system. The Overed System involves severe distortion when an Adapt Module is being deployed, causing an unsuccessful equipment deployment. However, in place of the selected Adapt Module is a single, unknown equipment that’s be mounted onto the Mirage instead. Dubbed as “Overed Weapons”, these unknown equipments vary depending on the Adapt Module that is glitched during deployment:
= OVW-01, six chainsaws fixed onto an arm-mounted turbine which is attached to a single, large thruster at the back of the Mirage. When in use, the turbine spins all six chainsaws as they individually rev up to max charge. Upon achieving a complete charge, the spinning chainsaws is then lunged towards its target with the assistance of the large thruster. This equipment materializes when the Adapt Double gets distorted during deployment.
= OVW-02, a single, arm-mounted mega positron discharger that’s fixated onto a large cylindrical capacitor at the Mirage’s back. A fully-charged shot from the discharger will annihilate an IS at point-blank. However, there’s also a chance that the discharger would overload after a charged shot. This weapon is the product for when the Adapt Wave gets glitched while deploying.
= OVW-03, a huge anti-armor sword that is hand-carried when in use. The sword has the blade on one side while the other is lined with support thrusters. When in use, the thrusters fire concurrently, sending the heavy blade speeding into its target. A full-thrust charge can easily allow the sword to cleave through even thick-armored blast doors. This Overed Weapon is formed from a distorted Adapt Vendetta deployment.

Well the weapon is created out of a severe glitch, it's meant to be scary
Speaking of which:
OVW-01 (The first weapon that's demonstrated in the video)

I'm sure someone came up with this crossover before... but who would win? IS or a kamen rider from the Kabuto world?(You know... those guys who can move at the speed of light)
